i seriously doubt that this is their mode of thinking. didn't you know that this was the greatest team EVER assembled.

some of you talk like CD is a great GM. i cant think of a good move that this guy has made. i'm sure that those of you will come back with cat, KT and the move to get steve, which was not a bad move but not a great move

cat- may or may not be on the block
    KT- where is he now
    steve- talent. unquestioned.
abilty to make others around him better. suspect.

Lastly, CD is a terrible evaluator of talent. His trades have been questionable, and there is undoubtedly a few overpaid players to top it all off. But all of the blame cannot all be placed on the shoulders of CD. Some of that burdon has to fall in the hands of Rudy T. Whom I believe was (and hopefully is not still is) the sole reason behind many terrible draft picks.

Yao Ming was a gift from god, in the draft a no-brainer!
I just can't imagine who we would have taken if we had the #2.
You know they didn't have the scouting ability to find Amare, much less the balls or room on the roster for another PF. The last part is irrelevant but just my thought on it all.

Last year if we hadn't gotten Yao, we were very interested in Caron Butler, as well as Amare Stoudemire. Qyntel Woods was a possibility with the 15th pick.

It's a new coach, with a new system. Give JVG some time to work. That's what CD's doing. After this season, we'll call for all of management's heads on a platter if need be.

i'm sure everyones hindsight is 20/20.

the fact is no one in the top five knew that Amare would do what he'd do and also Caron sliped in the draft as well.

I for one, was laughing at the Warriors when they picked dunleavy instead of Caron. They are cursed. Gotta be rought to be a warriors fan. Last year was the first year they had any fans to speak of since the early 90's. Now, with Arenas bolting, they are back to being the Warriors we all know and feel sorry for.

Not time yet, let this team that he created grow. Way to early to start thinking of a new GM, CD has made some mistakes no doubt, but every gm in the league has a few draft blunders or paying to much for a player. You have to look at the whole picture, the Rockets dominated for along time up untill about 1998. So the Rockets have only been rebuilding for a few years, and they have never really been that bad.
The Rockets have rebuilt quick, it takes years to get back to being one of the elite teams. And the major pieces are there, the question is really is the role players there? Not bad, say what you want about the past 5 seasons. But thats what we had to expect and the Rockets never got really bad during that period. CD is doing fine, but he is getting up there in age so maybe in a few years but for his basketball decisons, absolutely not.

    Sometimes "Less is More".
Chemistry is not built over training camp. It takes seasons for players to get acclamated to one another. While I applaud the Lakers and Twolves...all of those players are going to want to be on the floor at least 95% of the time and they demand the ball. So do the Wolves and Lakers have enough balls to go around? Chemistry wins championships...not starpower. And you should know this rox fans.

Do you not remember everyone being totally excited that we got the next "Peja" when we drafted Boki. Everyone thought that was the best move. Did you not cheer when we added Pippen to Dream and Charles? I did. Don't now but did then. Everyone was screaming not to let Moochie get away, we had to sign him. Rice comes off the books next year. MoT was a great player until the injury. Maybe he will be again.

What I am saying is that we all loved when upper Mgmt. made most of the moves that you put here. We they make them now, no way. But no one can see the future. We applauded CD for bringing in Pippen, MoT from the clips, resigning Mooch etc.. All teams make bad decisions and bad contracts. Name one team that has not had bad contracts. Everyone does it because not every player pans out. Just because you are a first round draft pick does not make you a superstar. Sam Bowie was drafted before MJ. $hit happens.

CD has made some great calls on Sam I Am, Cat, pulling the Francis trade, acquiring the Glyde etc.. We have a great management team IMO.

    the spurs?

the rockets have not made the playoffs in 4 years. and what have they done with their lottery picks? in the time from the spurs championship in1999 to theirs this past year, i've seen the rockets get rid of good players for uninspired ones, make terrible draft choices, overpay many players, and to top it all off keep a coach 1-2 years too long. Rudy T and CD have been givin way too much credit than what is actually due. One down. One to go.

    KT........traded
    Collier.......... thumbs down
eg.......... still young but the athletic ability? in my opinion he has none
    yao........gift from god

lets face it, whether you are the 9th team or the last team, you're still a team that didn't make the playoffs in a league where they take half the teams. sad.

Somebody with some logic.I'm feelin what you sayin. They really dont need any new players at this point and time.Let Van Gundy work with what he has and let him work his system with the players. You cant expect Houston to jump on the bang wagon of trading and signing because er'body else did.The players the Rockets have now will do just fine and hopefully make it out of the second round
