want to have a shake-'em'up trade? This one could work -- get Spreewell. He has the fire to play back up 1, 2, and 3 -- and in a new situation would be lethal (positive lethal, that is). And what would it cost? Rice and Mooch.

Chaney gets his big '3', Rice gets to win over NYC all over again, and the Kah - nix get the best back up '1' in the league. Sez me...

I'd do it in a heartbeat, and Layden just might, too.

You know, RM and Rice are right - let the team play and they will figure it out (with some coaching from Rudy). I think it is more of a rule that teams that play together, get used to each other and establish some sort of consistency in rotations and such are the ones that develop chemistry and trust needed for success.

And that is what is most important for me as a Rockets fan, that the team is successful - that they are winning. It does not matter to me if Franchise, Cat, Grif, Ming or Cato or whoever on the team is fullfilling idealistic pg, sg, sf, c, pf roles. Does not matter to if they are playing pretty or not. All that matters is that they are winning.

2 - 2 record from a young team with people coming back from injuries, people getting used to a new country and such does not sound too bad. I dont know about you guys, but I'm still pretty optimistic about the next 78.

Interesting you brought this up. Did you know HOW Bibby nearly led his team to the finals? By raising his scoring average by nearly 7ppg in the playoffs. His assists per game stayed the same - 5apg in the regular season and 5apg in the playoffs.

Now, do you think that if he had passed the ball more, the Kings would have gotten past the Lakers?

BTW, don't bring up dodgy fouls. They are EXCUSES, no?

I am not a “HATER” and yes I am 25 and a jr. poster but more important I am a Rocket fan forever.

My anger is sky high and if not for that I would not say this but I think that Steve and Cat would be better off playing in the AND1 tour on ESPN2 than in the NBA....

I don't really mean that but I am so frustrated over this problem of "dribble, dribble, and throw up another silly shot" offensive system. Rudy has coached for years with no “Appearance” of an offensive plan other than ISOS and incomplete pick&rolls. IF IT WERE NOT FOR DREAM THE "Post Up" would not have worked for Rudy. I am going to stop blaming the players and start blaming Rudy and his staff. NBA players come up with tons of talent and it is up to the coaching staff to teach them how the game is played. These players have done it all on there own at other levels as mainly "Scorers" Rudy’s staff consist of no one that can help Rudy with the offence. He needs to go or he needs to look outside and find someone who knows how to assemble a working offence.

I love the Rockets and hate the fact that "I" am second guessing Rudy and the players. In my heart I want Rudy to day dream about offensive plays and defensive strategies. Then coach the thoughts to the players but every game that goes by I lose a little part of me that wants to "Believe Again".

We have the players and I believe we have a great head coach, but maybe we need some credible assistants to help him.

I bleed Rockets red and dream of a return to the glory days but maybe the only way back is through history......

    P.S.
We don't need a trade or to fire anyone. What this team needs is for Rudy to show them film over and over of what they do when they win vs what they do when they lose. And Rudy needs film of Dallas, Sac, Magic, Nets and of course the last gane the Sonics played.

    a. on the possibility of cato being good on offense- umm you've seen him post up right?? you've seen him attempt a hook shot right?? all i can say is hide the women and children and protect yourself if you're in the first few rows. it isn't pretty.

    b. about brandon being mentioned in a trade, oh dear god. about us having more talent than the kings, oh dear god. lets try thinking before we post.

    c. mike bibby didn't almost lead anybody to the finals. he was an integral cog (and second best player when the playoffs rolled around) on a talent-laden team that happened to get hot/step up when the playoffs came. he wasn't a great pure point guard like so many of y'all call for, as someone else pointed out he averaged 5 assists that series. webber averaged more and was the team leader. webber also was the leading rebounder and only consistent defensive rebounder the kings had. webber also led the team in points while shooting 53%. webber made their offense go. half of bibby's shots were him simply rubbing his man off on vlade or cweb, taking a handoff from them, and draining the shot. he didn't create them. webber's high post passing and ability to know where to pass along with his ability to shoot out of the high post made that offense go. mike bibby was incredible at crunch time and definitely stepped up and played smart, but lets not pretend webber wasn't the thing that made that team go. and before you say he shrunk under pressure, he had 7 points in the 4th of game 5 when things were tight, and along with bibby was the only king to show any balls at the end of game 7. they basically took turns trying to shoot and carry the team while everyone else (christie and peja) shrunk and sucked.

    d. i don't get why some people don't think this team is young and that it won't take time. i was watching league pass and i think they put up a stat: Rice-13 years experience, rest of rockets avg: 2 years experience. that's damn young. could they be playing better, probably. could things be worse. also probably. does the offense have more movement than last year, based on the few games i saw last year and so far this year, yes. is being young a reason to look lost and inexperienced, yes. you remember in our glory days how we used to just toy with young, immature teams for whole games then turn it up in the 4th and win b/c they would make mistakes or not know how to react. or how you could beat them mentally even when they had the physical tools. well, now we're that immature, young team. nothing but time will cure that. is it guaranteed that it will cure it, no, but has it happened time and again in nba history, yes. so give them some damn time. and i don't mean the middle of next week. i mean the end part of this year, maybe till next year. i know, i know, you wanna make posts that b**** about the team right now, it's just not fair. well if you keep making those posts, you'll just keep being reminded that it takes time.
