Here's what happens: 1) They offer last year's full-season ticket holders first options, 2) They offer new full-season ticket holders second option, 3) They offer those wanting half-season packages, then, 4) They offer those wanting mini-plans. Last year I got a 12-game package ($58 seats) and sat pretty much behind the goal on the lower level (around 12 rows up). This year, I put together a syndicate of friends and was able to get outstanding seats on the side of the first level ($60 seats, looking right down onto the court). I'm tickled to death with the seats and more people should consider pooling to get "first dibs".
I just bought 4 tickets for the Francis "Primetime" pack today. I'm so pumped, I can't wait for the season to start. The guy I talked to was really friendly and helpful. I can't imagine yall being screwed around on renewing your tickets, I just called today about the minigame package and purchased it within a matter of minutes. I love the Rockets organization!!!
I am a full season ticket holder. My priority number is 2003, meaning 2002 people need to make up their minds and have their problems solved before they talk to me. I was just called last week. Strangely enough I felt I had been forgotten and called in. A rep told me my seats -I was estatic - then I got the regularly scheduled notification call about two hours later. BTW, not that anybody cares, but I asked for the best seats in the cheapest downstairs section. I got that little brown section, end zone. First row, seats three and four closest to ceenter court as my proice range allows. Seemed like a long wait, but I am happy how it turned out.
I know we are looking into getting another mini plan, like we did this year, but our problem has been us and not the Rockets so much, though I haven't talked to my dad lately so he may be agitated as well. Our problem is that we can only go on games on the weekend or on holidays since we live kind of far away and my family works and I go to school. From what I can remember, only one pack was remotely good for us, with like maybe 2 or 3 out of the 6 games which we could attend. (I think last year, we could have went to 4 out of 6.) Basically, my dad will see what kind of seats we can get, and if they suck, we'll just go to individual seats. Another problem, though, is that I will have some basketball games going on this year that may happend to be on a Saturday, so we have to be real careful before we actually buy tickets.
RocketBurrito and Rockets03, send me your contact information and I'll make sure someone gives you a call. The ticket office has been phenomenally busy last week and this week, but we'll make sure you get taken care of. Kam, show me your $250,000 and I'll get you the best suite still available. Sweet location. RC Cola, we do have a 12-game pack that is exclusively weekends and holiday ... called, coincidentally, the Weekend and Holiday Pack. We will likely be offering a 6-game version that meets the same needs later on. To be honest, though, season, half, and 12-game demand has been so high recently that we haven't put a lot of emphasis on the 6-packs yet -- we're selling them, but we've placed a priority on getting the bigger package buyers placed first. If anybody else is having a problem, shoot me over your info and I'll do my best to help. Tim McDougall Vice President of Marketing Houston Rockets and Comets timm@rocketball.com
yeah Tim i have problem, you better make sure the merchandise is ready for me and a stadium tour too.
Yeah you need help R2K, but Tim isn't a qualified Psychologist, little Behad also still needs help, he is still tormented by your daughter
Show me your $250,000 and I'll buy you a new Lamborghini. You can watch the games at home, with a phat ride in the garage.
I haven't asked my dad, who does all the ticket stuff, but I'm guessing we probably can't afford to pay for the 12 game plan. I think last year was the most I've ever got to attend Rocket games at like 3. (I mentioned 4 above because I got sick on one of the days.) Not mention the costs of getting a hotel for every time we go. (normally too late to drive back home.) I think my dad showed me a weekend and holiday plan in the 6 game plans, but it had days that were neither IIRC. But that is probably the pack we'll get, if we do stick with the mini-plans. Maybe when I get older, and richer, and uh...on my own, I could go more Rocket games, but at the time, 6 would probably be the most I could go to in a year, not including playoffs. Thanks for the info Tim. Feel so special getting a response from the VP of marketing. edit: Oh crap! Pretty much forget what I said. My dad WAS looking at that 12 game plan to get. Could have sworn it was a 6-game plan. Sweet...maybe.
Dang, I got a call today. Tim had one of his season tix rep call me up and they took care of everything! Thanks!
Tim, tell CD, and JVG to sign me to three 10-day contracts. I think that's about over 250,000. I mean, your organization had Dan Langhi on the team. You could sign me.
Like R03, Tim took my info and resolved the issue for me in a great manner. No, there were no freebies or anything of the sort (nor was I looking for any - well besides a cc.net luxury suite), and the matter was handled very professionally. I'd also like to thank Chris, the sales rep. who helped me out as well. It was great to have someone who has been in the new arena to ask questions to re: stadium sight lines and such!
Weird, I called back the ticket office yesterday since rockets-#1 got his Miniplan on his FIRST call, and they took my order down and should be on the way. I talked to Brea, nice lady and was quick on the call and ordered the Yao Big Man pack and added the 2 Laker games. They said I get the best avaliable seats although I prefer aisle seats, I just emailed Tim if I could put that request in.
Tim's THE MAN!!! I got an email response today, and got a called back from my tix rep, and got me the closest possible seats to the aisle, I even added the New Orleans Preseason game on Oct 12th. Cant the season start already???
