toddie-that's the problem. The Clippers are not a team to take on extra salary, and certainly not a team to trade away young, quality players they have for hte next 5 or more years, especially when they just got that player happy. Walt just makes no sense for them, and as much as I love dreamcasting, it's a little too much moving/shaking to be conceivable. ------------------ The more lefties on your team, the better. Collier is Seven Foot and Left Handed. How can you go wrong? Trade or bench Kenny Thomas.
MManal, My mistake on the teams involved. Nike, You're absolutely right about it being a tough string of deals to pull off, but if it could, I believe that it would actually make all three teams a lot better. As far as the Clipps not taking on more salary, if they want to be contenders someday, wouldn't it make more sense to accept Walt in the deal & try to turn around & trade him later? Even with all the new young talent that they just acquired, I've heard that Anderson can't wait to leave. I can't see them being able to turn their reputation around without going out & making a deal like this that would solidify their starting five with what would be one of the most promising young lineups in the league. As it stands now, somebody is sure to get upset about not enough PT at the SF/SG positions because of the glut of players they have. Then when their contracts are up, they'll have their own Mobley situation. I think I'm starting to ramble on. I believe this to be a solid deal & I WANT IT DONE NOW!!! Hey, would you take Maggette & Nesby in the deal instead or is Fizer worth more than that. At least the salaries would be closer. Right? Oh well, seeing as I'm already dreaming, I guess I'll go to bed. ------------------
