Tebow thrives on people betting against. Just when you think he can't be worse, he throws or runs for a last second TD to win the game. The guy is unlike anything I have seen in the NFL.
And this isn't only going to be the type of pressure where Sanchez struggles & fans are screaming for tebow- the Jets are already going to be mixing in a certain percentage of tebow plays on a regular game to game basis. There will already be precedent for going with more of what works, Tebow will already have a foot in the door. If sanchez has a few stinkers, & Tebow pulls off some heroics with fewer opportunities, it should be a good show. C. Cowherd was breaking down what Tebow initially told the media- about going there "to compete", & become a better quarterback. Never acknowledged the word backup. He definitely plans to be starting there by the end of the season.
More than just Cromartie apparently: http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/e...s-not-happy-about-tim-tebow-to-new-york-trade Report: 'Several current Jets' not happy about Tim Tebow to New York trade "Antonio Cromartie recently made his opinion known, before backtracking on said opinion. But he's not the only Jet who isn't thrilled: according to Brian Costello of the New York Post, there are many current players not happy about the move. 'All of the attention on Tebow has some Jets shaking their heads,' Costello writes. 'Several current Jets, who spoke with The Post on Saturday, asked not to be quoted but expressed disbelief at the team bringing in Tebow. The idea of a backup quarterback having a press conference is something they can't wrap their heads around, and they know it's just the beginning.'" Who knows, maybe some intentional stirring of the pot from the journalists in the Big Apple, or maybe some real disappointment among the players?
