I'm not mad they're getting the shine though, it's whatever to me. All I care is what we do on the field.
Let Tebow have all of the press, I don't care, I want wins. I think the Texans are better suited not getting respect and being the underdogs. I'd love a shot at Tebow and the Broncos for the AFC championship at Reliant.
The Steelers could hardly run even at the beginning of the year. Their fans were blasting the O-Line when they were playing the Texans. Pittsburg problems today were the same ones they had for the entire season. And they still went 12-4. Including 2 wins against the team we beat, Cincy. Also, the Broncos have much less talent than the Texans. Seriously, QB aside, which team would you take? Of course the Texans. We beat them in every single area except possibly the front 7, where it's probably a wash. I personally don't care for the Broncos or Tebow besides the whole LOL nature of the story. But even without Tebow Mania, as an objective fan, the Broncos win was more story-worthy.
When the Texans are being interviewed on Media day in Indy and Tebow is watching from his very nice house...the Texans will get all the media attention they can handle.
seriously. Houston just enjoyed its first playoff game in 18 years and it first playoff *win* in 21 years, and we're still finding meaningless stuff to bellyache and handwring about. can't we just enjoy this?
I do think the Broncos are the more interesting story but certainly not the better story. They are a real life science experiment, can the spread option or a variation of it work in the NFL? Texans won a playoff game with a 3rd string-5th rd rookie QB...that's remarkable.
I think we know that of the teams advancing, Houston will receive the least attention from ESPN. You can pretty much take that to the bank.
As a national story, Tebow is much more interesting and captivating. But from one Texans fan to another: Who cares?
Dear Tebow Haterz, Get over it, Imma huge Texans fan (be sure to chek my Highlight Video and talkin up Tebow dont fase me 1 bit.
Personally, I'm not a Tebow hater. I'm pulling for the Broncos against anyone but the Texans. At the same time, I find all the focus on Tebow to be a huge annoyance as a sports fan, especially in terms of watching sports programming on ESPN, which seems to be about 50 percent Tebow and 50 percent everything else. I'm betting that's the aspect of the whole Tebow phenomenon that most sports fans find annoying -- not Tebow himself but the unnecessary percentage of sports programming discussion focused on him.
Sorry but Pittsburgh isn't really a good team when their QB is at 50% and they don't have their starting RB. Their o-line was wack too (see the Texans game agaisnt Pitt). Their defense is also not the same Pittsburgh D as previous seasons. This defense had flaws even though it was solid during the season. When you add the Pittburgh's injuries, it's not really like Tebow beat a great team. I would agree though that Pitt injured is still better than a healthy Cincy team.
Precisely. The media really needs to learn when enough is enough. I've got nothing against Tebow, but ESPN turning into Talk-About-Tim-Tebow-PN makes me want to root against him. It's the LeBron James/Sidney Crosby effect.
I wish we can beat the Ravens, and the Tebow's can win as well so we meet in the AFC. Would be a great story!
A team being led by TJ Yates through the NFL playoffs is more surprising than one being led by Tim Tebow. Not that it matters. I think the Tebow fascination is due to his antics as much as his wins. Yates is much quieter.
