Tim Macmahon is a joke why did ESPN allow a Dallas castoff to cover our team

    It’s obvious he has a preference towards luka and the mavs. Why is this guy covering the rockets. The way he was speaking to harden today was mad disrespectful. Almost like he was trolling harden for meme-able soundbite. **** this guy and everything he stands for spreading negative info about our team to the media. Kyrie as much as I can’t stand the guy is 100% percent correct. The nba media are nothing but pawns and without sound bites they can’t make money. They need nba players, more than nba players need them. Tim macmahon should be a little more respectful when talking to our best player. He wouldn’t talk to giannis or luka that way.

    This guy is releasing hit piece after hit piece on harden and for what. What did harden do to this guy.

    also has anybody seen his Twitter photo. It’s cringy as hell. Dudes face is so punchable

    Tim broke ZERO stories on the Rockets until shortly after TF bought the team. Local media scooped him left and right. Hell even national media had more inside sources in the Rockets then this ESPN regional reporter until recently.

    And I agree that his interview style with Harden was highly disrespectful.

    Tim is much more obsequious and cloying when he interviews the Cowboys or Mavs.

    I like all those guys except macmahon, never liked him. He’s closer to the mavs than rockets anyway. Brian t smith also sucks

    He was questioning James' answers as he should as a reporter.
    Man reporters can't get anything right either they ask dumb questions or question no one cares about but when they start to dig into the bs players tell, they are being highly disrespectful.

    Just my two cents: James Harden has had it very easy with the media. He needs to face tougher questions like that. He was partying in Vegas, violating protocols, while he was supposed to be at camp.

    I personally think Tim is really good at the job.

    Nah, ever since this dude said Morey quit on the Rockets, blah blah blah "oh yea James Harden was always gonna leave" but oh wait "James Harden asked for a trade when Steven Silas became coach." Oh yea Harden got everything, but oh wait NO LUXURY TAX.

    Yea, Tim can eat crap with this.

    I think that is because we had Calvin Watkins on the ESPN beat. After he got fired and the Mavs weren't good, we got Tim. I'm trying to remember how he used to cover the Mavs and Cuban. I think it wasn't all roses there either.

    I like all of them except for Tim MacMahon and Brian T Smith. Smith is most blatantly slanted.

    And I can do without Feigan's fluff pieces.

    These sports stories have always been 50 percent bullshit. I mentioned before it’s an art form taking pieces of info from unnamed sources who might or might not know what’s truly going on or intentionally trying to deceive or create pandemonium then constructing a story based on this info. Similar to reality show writers. It’s never 100% true and often involves a lot of hyperbole and sensationalism. Something to me is just not right with that Westbrook story though. There has to be more than he doesn’t like the “culture”. He was on board and active in the search. Anyway it is what it is.
