I have a very strong feeling that TMac will come out this season with whichever team he gets traded to- and show why he is still among the elite. He's only 30..and it appears that now..he has more fire in him to try and prove he can still play, and I believe that this seperation between the Rockets and TMac will be lopsided, favoring TMac.. --He has so much talent in him, and is probably one of the smartest players in the league today- that he can truly turn a team around into contention.. We'll see...I predict his success will come with an Eastern Conference Team.
I cant wait to see him in action. Watching his playmaking skills is somthing that never gets old for me. I still love watching that drive to the basket then the pass across to Jon Barry for 3, absolutely beautiful passer and when hes hot he is unstoppable. I hope he can regain his scoring touch for his sakes. I wish the haterism on this board would quit already, it really is getting old and tired. The team has moved on and Tracy played his heart out for this team when healthy and was a pivitol piece for the last few years. Last years debacle could turn into a blessing in disguise pulling the injury card. Would you really want VC on this team now? If we get Iggy or Caron il be 100 times happy then having an old beat up VC.
Wherever he goes, he will put up numbers this season but the game is more than just numbers. The offense will most likely run mostly through him and thats how he will put up numbers. He just doesn't fit with the current Rockets' style of play and has burned too many bridges for him to remain a positive addition without distractions. It has been stated that a few players flat out dislike him, management dislikes him, and although he could POTENTIALLY help us this season, I believe management just wants to move on and start fresh.
Will heput up numbers?... before people were making it seem like he's washed up, even Adelman used that as an excuse saying he isn't explosive any more.
yeah think a lot of people are tying in arenas' rehab with his legal troubles this year, as if there was a connection...arenas has looked good physically, that team's chemistry is just bad and he's having off court issues..Tmac has been the only disappointment in Grover's training, even Luther came out better.
i'm agreeing with you here, i probably should have written "disappointment"...i dont believe tmac is done like it appears.
I believe he is close to where he was in the 07/08 season when he was still a productive player. It's just that his style of play won't mesh with the current Rockets and there's too many bridges burnt and dislike among players and staff for him that he won't fit here. I don't think he's washed up and done as a productive player.
He may not be a perfect fit for Adelmans system, but you can say the same about Yao as well, his strength is the low post not the high post, but regardless were missing what t-mac would bring to this team, a playmaker that can make guys like ariza, battier and scola better like during the streak.
I think the Rockets would look forward to playing against McGrady. 6-foot Lowry could probably defend him at this point with one hand tied behind his back.
WTF?! Tim Grover trained MJ, trained Kobe, and both of them have never been out a significant period of time despite playing tons of minutes. He rehabilitated Wade the season before, and now resurrected O'neal from the grave. Grover is like the MJ of trainers, his reputation is as solid as it gets! If he says Tmac's ready then he is, no doubt about it.
I highly doubt that. You must have seen the practice vid, Tmac blew by Battier with ease it looked, sure he didnt finish the layups but he looked solid. With some real gametime I believe he will be a 16-19ppg player again.
i disagree with Tmac's playstyle CAN help the team, even in just 7 mins. I would have thought that was obvious from the way the offense looked more fluid. Unfortunately you're right about the bolded part. No matter how much Tmac as a player fits the Rockets, Tmac the person has been a b**** and brought the wrath of both mgtment and players upon himself. Hopefully we can get some good pieces for him. Still, watching him succeed on another team will be killing me inside.
he also trained Wade prior to entering the NBA, which may have been a reason why he did better than predicted initially...then he stopped...and that's when he decided to go back for the rehab since he thought his best days physically were when he entered the nba...
Neither did the Rockets organization guarantee to get to win the NBA championships... No one can guarantee wins its only based on probability
Yeah no doubt about this. He was so smart that he invented the new NBA term ~ DNP ~ Player's Decision , shut himself down to avoid having his @r$e traded last season.
Did you even used to watch T Mac play? I mean seriously. Some of you guys are just making the most asinine, ridiculous statements. TMac definately could fit in this offense. More so than Trevor "force everything, give me the ball at all times" Ariza. Or how different would it be than our current point guard...ahem...shooting guard labeled point guard AB. Seriously you guys are just out there sometimes. Hate on TMac all you want, but we are NOT a better team without him. Its so easy to see its not even funny. It was the same with the Steve haters. Francis sucked for not being a true PG. I heard the drumroll of complaints in his comeback with us about his lack of PG abilitites, yet the same ones cheer AB and his 3 assists a game from the PG spot. Look call a duck a duck. The Rockets are pissed about TMac's quite exodus to the table last year. Thats IT...nothing else. Get it through your thick skulls. Its a payback move. And lets be honest about it. THANK FREAKING GOD he pulled that move if Morey was going to pull the Carter deal. Jeebus, you should be praising TMac instead of hating on him. Why is this so hard for the majority to figure out. Its a vengence thing on the Rox part. TMac saved us from years of VC mediocrity. Bah
