We score better and more efficiently now than any time with Tmac or Yao playing. Our problem is with defense, and Tmac doesn't play any unless its in the playoffs sometimes. We do not need Tmac. We are missing Yao not because of his offense but because we don't have anyone plugging up the middle to stop people at the basket.
some of them did say that (or they felt for tmac anyway)...but they are mostly staying out of it cause it isn't in their control and their just playing ball regardless. it really isn't about this season. i'm not sure why adelman is making it out to be about this season. we are not going anywhere this season. it's really about next season. we could have had all of them go through a full training camp together. for some reason, there is a huge emphasis on winning and making the playoffs this season...even though a championship run is futile. adelman could have made it work. i believe he really chose not to. he says he couldn't...but i call bs. also, not all on adelman as tmac wanted instant bigger minutes. still...it could have worked if the parties tried to work together. they didn't want to make it work. in the end, it created enough friction that tmac no longer wanted to be here...after originally saying he did want to be here.
Ariza has already taken that role...... He shoots everytime he has a chance to. Would be great if Tmac was taking those shots instead dont you think
No, because for all his faults (and there are MANY), Ariza still defends and doesn't always have to have the ball in his hands
Once team's start figuring out how to defend Houston, we will have trouble scoring. Teams are already starting to double Landry, and they will continue to give different looks to Aaron until they find something that works. The thing about superstar players is that they can beat any defense you throw at them, that's why they are the superstars.
Best news in a while on the T-Mac situation. If Rockets still aren't thinking clearly enough to decide to keep T-Mac, I hope he gets traded to another team ASAP and dominates. Obviously the best choice would be for him to remain a Rocket...but the logical option isn't always what ends up happening.
we're going to have to agree to disagree. No one said anything. of course there is an emphasis on winning and making the playoffs...isn't that the point of playing???? or should we just forget about that so that ONE player (who has screwed this team over numerous times) can come back?
If that happens, I think the Rockets (mainly Adelman) will have egg all over their face. Hopefully they know what they're doing... I'm still an ambivalent McGrady fan, but I'm a Rockets' fan first and foremost. So even though I guess I want to see McGrady do well (unless the rumor of him blocking the VC trade is true, which I doubt... although maybe that was better for us in the long run even if he did, heh), it would sting to see that as a Rockets fan. Although, maybe if he's feeling really generous, he'll still come back to us for cheap even if he DOES prove that he's still got game. (Yeah... I know.)
Morey .... Kicks back and waits for the rubes to get anxious ....When Tracy can't behave himself, banishes him while we wait some more .......The nibbles begin ........Morey starts working the line a bit....and being the expert angler he is goes to the fishwhispering.......When the water starts churning, throw out a ton of chum ....Tellum and Grover working hard. Morey straps himself in as this is going to be a whopper ....And we wait.
Obvious troll and this post is riddled with contradictions. Lets address some of them. 1. How has the Rockets mishandled the situation. T-Mac is still continuing his one man drama infected by selfishness the the Rockets have had enough. The Rockets have treated T-Mac very well, too well in fact. They also are not refusing to trade T-Mac, simply playing him because they believe it will be detrimental to the team play, which I wholeheartedly agree. One can actually argue that the team has treated T-Mac remarkably well until this year, where we finally set our foot down and said, "Enough with your drama!" 2. How can you claim to be a fan of our team if you want T-Mac to be on another team and destroy the Rockets? A real Rockets fan will never want a former player to comeback and beat the Rockets. A real Rockets fan will always root for his team to win. 3. If you are going to follow T-Mac to wherever he goes, feel free and don't let the door hit you when you are gone, because us REAL Rockets fans simply can't wait to show you the way out.
“He's my friend and teammate first before anything so if that's what's going to make him happy, I'm all for it,” forward Carl Landry said. “I wish him the best if that's what he wants. Houston is home. He loves Houston. It's sad to see him part ways with the city of Houston and the Houston Rockets.” No distraction The Rockets, however, did not consider McGrady's absence a factor to overcome. Rather, it's a different version of the sort of thing they have dealt with for several seasons. “It's part of the business,” center Chuck Hayes said. “It's a situation I guess the organization felt needed to be taken care of and they did it the best, most professional way they could. I'm sad to see him in this situation. “We don't consider it a distraction at all. We have a good group of guys around here who are able to stay focused and stay committed. We don't let the outside stuff or whatever is going on outside that locker room affect us and how we play.” Exactly what I said...they felt for him. They didn't say they wanted him back. I didn't say they did.
Why should the Rockets continue to cater to a broken down and selfish diva while they can develop our young talent and long term assets? They have been trying to trade this guy since last year, so it should be completely obvious to everyone that he is not in our long term plans.
What would there be to miss when this moron gets traded? Miss missing him? Miss the season ending in the first round of the playoffs? Miss his p*ssing and moaning about EVERYTHING?
It all depends on how good of a trade we make for him. I am tired of McGradys attitude and will be glad he is gone, but we need to get productive players in return.
grover has a TON of respect around the NBA. on a recent miami heat telecast, their commentators said pat riley FLEW IN Grover several times a week to work exclusively with dwayne wade (after he made those comments wade wasn't in great shape) for the past month and has been closer to last year's self the past few weeks. but yes, hopefully this will help morey cut out a deal that will help us short and long term.
