Tim Grover: "Mcgrady is ready.. To play" Tim Grover: "Mcgrady is ready.. To b**** about playing time" Tim Grover: "Mcgrady is ready.. To cry"
I'm just at the point where I can have to brainwash myself into thinking the guy doesn't exist. I can't watch Trevor Ariza submarine this team every single night and know there's a healthy player on the bench that can do everything Ariza tries to do. I mean, this team is missing a player EXACTLY like McGrady and we have zero interest in playing him. That's very telling. Not saying I disagree at this point -- I just think it's a funny observation. But all the same, as far as I know the guy is hobbling around on crutches and really does have zero potential to help us. At least that can it makes Ariza's apocalyptic play slightly less excruciating.
No we aren't missing a player who Rick the Ruler doesn't want to play. You need to focus your energy on the player(s) we will get once Tmac is gone. Also, to be fair to Trevor, we don't know how he compliments Yao yet.
That's what I mean. As far as i'm concerned, T-Mac is hobbling around on crutches waiting to be traded. Not in Chicago, training and probably doing things blindfolded that Ariza can't do against 5th graders. Sigh..... Just waiting for this to all be over with and reset with whatever return we get for him. I just hope it's sooner rather than later.
The Rockets didn't pay or get Ariza to replace McGrady. Ariza was better in LA aside Kobe. Once we get another scorer, I think Ariza will be better in his role.
Agreed but it's also something that you wouldn't notice if you just started watching him this year. Trevor Ariza the wannabe go-to-guy = FAIL. Trevor Ariza the defensive oriented, spot-up shooter the plays the passing lanes and gets easy transition buckets = jackpot and worth what we signed him for. I mean.....this is just me, the common basketball fan, pleading insanity here. I can't imagine what goes through Adelman's head as somebody that's a basketball wizard and see's what we all see. He has to be silently going nuts -- or maybe not. Maybe the plan really is to give Ariza more than he can handle and train him to be a pseudo go-to-guy. I really don't know know at this point.
So it was never on him? You can't have it both ways. Either, 1)Never got past the first round is on him, and that 22-streak is on him or 2)The Rockets never got past the first round simply because the team sucked and they won 22 games in a row as a team.
1. That's his entire career 2. Team chemistry won both the 1st round and the 22 game winning streak. Tracy didn't lead the team in every game of the streak in offense or defense. Giving full credit to McGrady for the streak is a slap in the face of the current team. The current team started to shine BECAUSE of the streak. Landry, Scola, etc.
Your a moron, this team is a mid level team and will be for the next decade. The way the Rockets front office and coach played this is a disgrace to the city of Houston. We will go through at least 2 more coaches and a lot of years before the Rockets matter again. Scola, Landry, AB, Yao and anyone else on this team will be long gone before we sniff any chance to be a relevant part of the NBA... You guys are deluded if you think Bosh or anyone else can fix this mess. We will get next to nothing for McGrady and what superstar in his right mind would come here to languish on a mediocre team and waste his career... If the Rockets actually make the playoffs and get out of the first round in the next 5 years I will never post here again.... It is not something I need worry about...
on-going ESPN chat: Dave (NJ) You may have no idea where TMAC will be traded to, however, regardless of where he winds up, do you expect him to still be able to play at the same high level we are all accustomed to? He is less than a year removed from micro-fracture surgery. David Thorpe (12:28 PM) I think Tim Grover is a smart and honest man, and he says that T-Mac is ready to go. I'd listen to him.
You shouldn't call people morons, idiot. Why don't you do everybody a favor and just stop now? There was nothing wrong with the way the Rockets handled this, they did what was best for the team, not some player who had already screwed us over. And no **** this is a mediocre team, look at the roster, but they were expected to have about this many wins for the whole year and they're not halfway through the season yet. If I'm a superstar and I see I can come to a team full of great role players in a big market why would I not come here?
“Just as what tinman said, the team effort contributed to that 22 game winning streak. It was on everyone in rox’ uniform at the time. Just kindly remind you of the whole “it is on me” matter which came right out of someone’s mouth. <object width="425" height="344"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/hk__kWf2kXQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/hk__kWf2kXQ&hl=en_US&fs=1&" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true" width="425" height="344"></embed></object>
Classic. Yeah! We need to have a GREAT team before we can attract a superstar! And the way to have a great team is to attract a superstar! Therefore, we need to attract a superstar before we can attract a superstar! Now do you morons get it? Your welcome! Signed, BoneHeadDong
