Have you ever heard of matchups? The Jazz and Sonics always murdered the Rockets, but the Rockets always trashed the Bulls! You can't say that "Utah beat the Rockets, and the Bulls beat Utah, so the Bulls would beat the Rockets". Basketball doesn't work that way.

Krause may have acquired all of those other players, but he did not acquire the most important one. Any GM could have signed Scott Burrell. I think the current rebuilding job proves Krause to be inept.

I think you are definitely cutting Cuttino short.

This is a 20 ppg player we're talking here.

At this point, Griff is being pointed to as a third, maybe even fourth, fifth wheel.

This team, that you have stated is good, definitely has the potential to be great.

You of all fans, should know about benches/role players being vital to success.

As MJ and Pip were your only two stars.

    Teams win games, not twosomes.

The Bulls were perhaps the greatest team in history, but it wasn't Krauses doing...By draft time, everyone knew about Pip's talent, it wasn't a rare find or anything.

I, myself won't try to say that the Bulls weren't the team of the decade, but ZRB's point is somewhat valid, had the Sonics never been there to shut our dreams down, we would have at least challenged for a good 2-3 of the Bulls' titles.

The title will come to ClutchCity once again.

I didn't mean for that to be taken that way. I was saying that we beat the best the West produced. Thats the purpose of the playoffs.

The current rebuilding job isn't over. It will be when we make the playoffs or Krause gets fired and we start building again. Either way, thats a couple of years off.

And...no...Krause didn't draft the most important player. But he didn't discard him either when he started rebuilding (was Kareem traded? Barkley?) ---he put the players around him---SOMETHING NO ONE ELSE HAD BEEN ABLE TO DO---that he could win with. Jordan was a seven year vet by that time. He had the juice...he just never had the team. Krause did that. And that team--built by Krause--still won 57 games the season Jordan left. Indisputable!

I've said that...read my previous posts. They have the potential to soar...they also have the potential to stay where they are and never improve if Griff isn't all he's made out to be. Like the Bulls, it's too early to tell. But, like I am with the Bulls, it's not too early to be excited.

Remove Kobe or Shaq from this years championship team. Just one of them and don't replace them. Whats the team do?

You need two or three players who are top 3 or 4 in the league at what they do to win the bling bling.

The Jordan era teams had the best sg, the best all around player, the sixth man of year, the best three point shooter---and one of the better coaching staffs.

Again, a mistruth. Why did Seattle of all teams trade him for Olden Polyniece? Krause trumped Jerry West on that one. Jerry West said recently "I was convinced that Scottie Pippen would become nothing but a journeyman in the league".

Kukoc? Rodman? Grant? And again, Krause built a team strong enough, Minus MJ, to win 57 games and come within 2 seconds of a return trip to the Finals.

Woulda shoulda coulda. We don't know that. The Sonics challenged too.
