What has Krause won since he left? 45 games in three years?

Well, I've got Tyrone Hill. He's not quite star quality (but did make an Otis Thorp-type all star game appearance), but the price isn't as high. My problem is he's my only PF. I'd make a Hill/Childs for Andre Miller/Caffey swap, if you're interested.

Ahhh...but we started off talking about the bling bling that the organization came into when Krause took over. HE changed the subject...

If you're trying to prove Krause's "Genius" to us, you might as well give up now.

Of course the Rockets haven't won since MJ retired...We are rebuilding.

But at least in a couple years, we will be right where we need to be in terms of title-contention, while your team could quite possibly still be a cellar-dweller.

BTW, great move on his part, trading a 20, 10, and 2 player for a potential 20, 10 player.

In a couple of years, we'll be right with you. Tell me again, how are you going to get out of the west and into the finals?

Nice dodge, but I'm serious. Whats the plan for beating the 800 pound beast in your conference? This is sooooo Houston Rockets. Put togather a good team and wait for the Champs to have an off-year.

If thats the case, I ask again, what's the plan for getting out of the Western Conference and into the Finals? You have a HUGE, GAPING hole at center, and absolutely no answer for Shaq. I'm not even sure you have an answer for Kobe. What you have is enough firepower to stay IN games...but whether or not you can take them over is seriously in doubt.

Orlando, minus a credible big man, has a better 'rebuilding' team than you do right now. Hows that for "We have the tools to beat anyone in the league." It's arguable that your move should have been to acquire and develop Diop or even Hunter---and let Jefferson or another Rook have the spot Griff is holding.

I think Griff is an even bigger question mark than them---as witnessed by his tumble. I don't mean to be pissy, but it was Chandler's workout against Griff that sold the Bulls on him. If we take Griff and combine him with Brand, we're as set as you are (I'm telling y'all, don't discount Crawford). Either you're giving Griff too much credit, or Chandler not enough. There's only one years difference at a higher level that seperates them and Griffs athletic accomplishments were impressive, but what he did for/to the team was not.

The Rockets didn't win when the team of the nineties was a full strength. They took advantage of 'down' years, when MJ was recovering from losing his Dad, and working on his comeback. This team won't win in the next 5 years unless Shaq or Kobe gets hurt, traded, or retires.

Agreed. But they didn't beat the 800 pound beast of the decade to get it. They beat the best teams in the league at that time, but they didn't beat the best of their time.

Quit living in the past GB, our future is much brighter than your future, maybe when you win more than 30 games you can talk, but our team went 45-37 last season.

Let me say that again, our team went 45 and 37 last season, and we just added a potential superstar for 3 draft picks. We lost no players in that deal, so we added a potential superstar to a team that already went 45-37.

Also I should add that 45-37 is better than 43-39, you know who went 43-39?

The magic, oh but this is when you say the Magic didn't have Grant Hill, well we didn't have Griffin, and Griffin offers a lot more defensively and athletically (who knows how good Hill will be after this injury) than Grant Hill.

It must be nice to live in the past, but as a fan, I only care about the present.

Your team LOST Elton Brand for Chandler, our team LOST no one for Griffin except for average draft picks. Chandler might be good, but you had to lose quality for potential quality, we didn't lose much at all for Griffin.

The Lakers are beatable, in the game they lost to the Sixers, Matt Geiger was hitting the outside shot automatically. All you need is a center that can hit the outside shot and Shaq is neutralized, plus with zones in the league Shaq won't have as much success as he had in the playoffs.

Wrote a lot, said nothing. The sixers didn't beat the Lakers, the Lakers had a lot of rust. It wasn't even a series...

47..blah blah blah. Why do you all keep bringing the Bulls into it? To make yourselves feel good? I'm talking Rockets, West Coast, and Finals. 47 wins means NOTHING if you can't get to the Finals...and you've said nothing substantive about how the Rockets will beat the West and get into the Finals.

Gotta crawl before you can walk, GB. Gotta walk before you can run. 45 wins is an improvement, and all the team can do is work to get better every year. No, the Rockets don't match up with LA at the center position. Neither does any other team in the NBA. So should everyone concede the championship for the next 5 seasons? That's the sort of defeatist attitude that has the Bulls where they are today. And in 3 years when Chandler and Curry are producing at mere all-star level, maybe Krause will trade them in for a couple of 7th graders with real potential.

The insults continue, ignoring the issues at hand does also. Maybe it's not ignoring, but ignorance in the case of the poster I'm responding to.

You can build a very good team all you want, but it's WORTHLESS unless you can get some bling bling with it. See Miami for an example. Portland too, since you drafted a potential head-case. New York as well.

Again, how is this team going to beat the Lakers?

By scoring more points than them I guess. [IMG]

We also did beat Lakers in one of the games this last season, so it is not impossible you know. Yeah, that was only 1 game, and I do not say we would be favorite to win the west. I do not think anybody is saying that. I just say we keep improving and we will get there.

Another point is you do not need to have someone to stop Shaq to be succesful in the West. Milwaukee did go 8-0 vs the top 4 western teams this season, and who do they have to stop Shaq, Duncan, Webber etc?
