I respect him as a basketball player because he's as tough as nails, but off the court, he's just like most professional athletes / celebs - not someone kids should look up to. That's just my opinion....

Maybe he meant he will lose all respects for Duncan in terms of a human being but not as a basketball player, just like Kobe.
I don't like Kobe for his antics on the court and being arrogant to the media and his team mates however I don't think it was crystal clear that he raped that girl. I did not follow that case but it was like a 50/50 thing according to multiple sources. :grin:
