KPJ is so much better than people here think. So so much better......Ime will get the most out of him and so many doubters will have to eat a big dose of crow. Only player smart enough to show up at the presser. DD
First extremely smart thing I've heard of KPJ doing is getting in good with the owner, so maybe he's not as dumb as I thought. But I have to say, I wouldn't exactly consider Tilman loving your company a recommendation, per se...
If Porter is around after this year it's only because Ime turned him into an All-Star level talent. Otherwise, his contract is good as gone.
I hope so dude, talent has always been there with KPJ. I’m surprised no other players were there. Even if it might come across as a little bit of brown nosing
Jaylen Brown is a big 6'6. Kpj is 6'4 playing the same position as another 6'4 guard that i guarantee was top 3 main reasons Ime chose us. They overlap. Both undersized to play the 3 other than small ball lineups. Neither can play the 1. Best case is still what I've wanted all long. 6th man green light role for KPj or trade him..maybe Jrue becomes available and Bucks would be a nice fit for KP
Or he is 6'4 and Ime is closer to 6'6 or 6'7. They do tend to shrink sometimes getting older. Which is the same difference as 6ft6 and 6ft8.
I have no faith in Porter whatsoever. I think he's a hotheaded malcontent and a chucker who will always be a problem that has to be managed. However, a coach who will light his punk ass up may be just what is needed. The talent is there to be a great player, don't think it will happen, but I understand why the Rockets may want to take one last chance with Porter and a coach who isn't spineless. If he doesn't respond they can just dump him because there's no long term financial risk.
You've been saying that for a while... Stephon Marbury was also so so good. Doesn't mean there aren't major key weaknesses. That's exactly how a player becomes polarizing. If Ime Udoka can turn him into the dynamo 6th man that he should be, now we are talking. Next on this checklist this offseason is to solidify the PG rotation. IF Udoka sticks with KPJ as the starting 1 I will be wary but I'll have to begrudgingly trust his judgment.
We do not know anything other than Fertitta does not want to be the worst team or 2nd worst team again. This could range from 6th worst team to Play In or Playoff team. It is just a wide spectrum. Anything beyond the 4-5 bottom teams goes....
Tilman playing 10D chess. Tells everyone in the media, "I LOVE KPJ, more than any other player I have ever loved" and then also told the media how they wanted to draft other players but I guess the players they got are alright. Bro is trying to downplay the value of our wanted players and trying bring up the value of our non wanted players (@Os Trigonum IDIOTA). @YOLO still trying to play checkers.
Or only player who thought he needed to be at the presser. Or only player who was told to be at the presser. KPJ had 3 seasons to show how smart he was, on and off the court. Nobody thinks of the word smart when talking about kpj.
Safe to say he gathered the Fellowship of the Ring (a bunch of characters) No bullshet Udoka and Tilly, a very suspect Stone, and a tons of interesting players who went through 3 years of tanking.
