Omg a new practice facility! all it took was 6 years and counting and the rockets heading towards rocket bottom for years for something to happen thats been years overdue. clap clap clap
well you liked a post in this thread that listed the practice facility as something Feritta needs to upgrade, but now that he has done it you want to downplay it.
nah because my bar isn't that pathetically low that something that should have been done a long time is now some end all of why hes the worst owner. yours clearly is
no one said it was the "end all of why he's the worst owner". just that it's another good thing he has done recently. but I don't gotta convince you. just keep hating lmao
He’s actually done most of this now over the past few years other than prove he’ll pay LT when the time comes. After the WB trade fiasco it seems like he’s mainly trusted Stone. I don’t know if he’ll stay that way but he’s operating that way now. And you have to give him some credit for being professional and not burning bridges after ultimately trading Harden rather than pulling a Gilbert.
When the Rockets had 60+ wins. Regressed the next year. Had the oldest team in the league bereft of future assets. Harden wanting out etc what would you have done? The Rockets had a 2 year window to keep their own picks. With 2021 being top 4 protected. Meaning if they would have tried to be relevant the team would have had the Thunder pick that season which was #18. Harden only wanted to go to two teams. So the assets and players coming back I suppose were not limited because of getting a 3rd or 4th team involved. What are realistic lineups that you would envision right now if they had taken a different course? Regardless you would have John Wall's contract and player in the lineup this season. Or, to "compete" you would have had to give up something to get rid of him. I fail to see what other course could have been taken. I am all ears on what you think they should have done though to be in a better position than they are now currently.
Its well documented what the rockets should have done thats been discussed for years dating back to the summer of melo, followed by the summer of westbrick. both disasters of offseasons and transactions coming off 60+ wins
Ahh i got you. So you are saying they should have gone many different directions than trading for westbrook. Meaning infinitely any other direction lol. Regardless I love where the team is at now. Rooting for players actually drafted by the team and seeing how 19 year olds get better as rookies onwards is fun for me at least. We will see.
i mean if you kept up with the discussions and potential acquisitions all clearly better than scrapping the bottom of the barrel for scrubs and misuse of assets to save money, then yeah those easily would have raised that ceiling while they were legitimate contenders. Of course you can like where the team is now because being shitty for quite awhile eventually has to go somewhere.
I can't argue with that. From what I remember didn't the team trade assets to lower salary? I can rationalize that to some extent. Down the line though the team better make up for it. If they do I can rationalize it even more if they don't I will not be able to at all.
Sorry kid, in the real world we use tangible results to determine success. Finish school and go get a job before you go around celebrating coaching hires. It'll give you better perspective.
yes. there's a list full of transactions all coincidentally for the sole purpose of lowering salary even if it cost assets
Held on to Jarret Allen and Caris Levert and drafted Mobley. Followed by a 30 win season and the addition of Khalifa Diop. Pop champagne!
Shout out to all the homies who were zip-lipped for 15 years on Les Alexander about practice facilities! You titans of business, you!
