Dell and Friedkin both want the Rockets and either would be a massive upgrade over Ferntits' cocksure and smug style. Ferntits' no substance bells and whistles, empty dog and pony show, would be replaced by confident substantive organization and leadership.

The Warriors used their trade exception and upped their luxury tax bill from $66M to $134M to improve their chances of winning after Thompson's injury. That's what an owner is supposed to do.

Agreed. How stupid do you have to be to ignore the writing on the wall?

Hopefully Tillman defaults so Les can repossess the team since Tillman is making payments

Woah, blast from the past, hey Doc!

I see that 486/SX 25 still connects to the interwebs.

Iv never seen an owner of a team not get blasted from the fans.

the warriors owners got an incredible run so not much flack yet but it will come. Balmer we’ll see if they don’t win soon fans will get on him. They have no picks for a very long time.

but Iv never seen any fan base of any team in any major sports league not say I want the owner to spend more money or do this or do that.

which it’s easy to say it’s not our money.

but it’s his business the NBA is a business he’s not going to sell the team so I don’t see the point in complaining about saying he should sell the team.

now if you want to get mad about him not spending money okay but selling the team? That’s delusional.

The Warriors are paying over $100 Million in Luxury Tax to field a Lottery Team.

With Klay Thompson out for year, Stephen Curry being Injury Prone. Draymond Green with a Fractured Toe.

Curry is 32, Draymond is 30—Lacob isn't willing to waste a year of their primes.

Wasting your superstars’ prime and your superstars requesting trade next season is more dumber.

They’ve been in the finals nearly half this decade...fielded maybe the best team in history - they’re playing with house money now - you pay luxury tax for a chance to strike again because they’ve got the talent to do within the next 2-3 years.

    Interesting concept.

your assuming the warriors went all in on spending knowing Klay was going to tear his Achilles and I guess draymond green having a busted toe.

but the warriors have been spending money for a very long time now but they also had a dream team for 3 straight years and went to 2 finals and won one before they got KD for those 3 years.

I’ll say this the warriors fans will be pretty mad in about 4-5 years when Lacob and the crew want to save money so they can make money. That will come as it does for every franchise.

I’ll give Lacob this besides the spending he did come out and say if the NBA can’t put fans back in the seats they won’t be able to survive for more than 1 year.

now you can take that one way or the other. 1st meaning the NBA goes away which I don’t believe. I think what he is saying and make no mistake I’m sure their isn’t one owner who doesn’t want this. Which is the player’s salaries going back down which imo seems inevitable. To what extent I don’t know but I wouldn’t be supersized to see super max contracts going back to to 30m a year and then it trickles down for every other player.

if I was in the NBA or any sport for that matter I would take the absolute most money possible right now.

that’s also why I wouldn’t be shocked to see Harden actually sign that extension at some point.

All Pro sports are in a lot of trouble imo
