You've got the right idea. Call Elon Musk. I think he has some resources to shoot something into space.
Used to host my clients at Morton's Steakhouse in SF all the time. No more. TF not getting another dime from me.
Oh for sure he has more money than Tilman He sells a few shares and he can own the Rockets and own Landry’s
Elon Musk? FOH Dudes a sociopathic nerd who doesn't value human life and someone who would probably move the team to an underground arena in Austin. But I agree, sell the team Tilman. Michael Dell is interested.
Haha. I mean you're right.. it's not as if TF has given us a fair few reasons to blame him in his short time of being here hey.
as an outsider (a New Yorker, non Houstonian), this is my fear as well. I've seen the Knicks go from destination franchise to hot mess to be avoided. I've also seen the nets swoop in and become the "destination" the rockets have always had credibility. from the good old CD days through the DM days, they've had a reputation as a serious organization. we were never tier 1 in FA destinations. can't beat LA, NY, MIA... but when agents and players respect the organization from the owner to the president of bball ops to the gm, and the coach... you're on the list. where were the warriors before Lacob buys them, hires Myers, brings in West, hires Kerr... now they're a destination. not because players want to live there like LA, NY or MIA, but because its a respectable organization. they're the gold standard for this generation just like the spurs were just a few years ago. the spurs garnered so much respect thanks to pop and Buford that they turned one of the smallest markets into a destination players and agents were interested in. Ballmer has turned the clippers into a team players are interested in joining. every player wants to live in LA and yet the clippers were avoided pretty much all through history. add an owner willing to spend, change the culture, now they're a destination. the fall from destination to "avoid" has happened to the Knicks, to the bulls (although they're turning things around now), and even the lakers after jerry buss passed away and his 3 kids couldn't agree on anything. with that city and that franchises history they couldn't land a FA no matter how hard they tried. when Jeanie took over she sure turned things around though. If it can happen in LA and NY, then sure as hell Houston can lose its "destination" label. and we've seen time and again if people don't trust ownership, if there's poor hires in the front office or head coach... the players/agents will avoid. Owners that operated solely for profit and didn't care about winning (Sterling, Sarver, and I'm sure some others I'm forgetting) couldn't bring in any front office talent or on court talent in nearly their entire tenure. if everyone knows you don't care about winning and only want to cut costs they won't want to sign up. Hollinger and Duncan were recently talking about how the rockets will not spend a dime over the tax. everyone knows tilman's game. the word is out. no GM wants to work solely to make a profit. they want to try to build a winner, that's they're job. no coach will want to sign up to coach a team that won't be able to compete financially. no player will want to sign up to be part of an organization that nickles and dimes everything. you know what attracts players? perks. state of the art practice facilities, locker rooms, and all the other details that tilman will never spend top dollar on. when mark cuban bought the mavs he bought special chairs for the bench and wanted the highest quality towels. its stuff like that that helps become a destination that players and agents know is top notch. you want to have the uncomfortable chairs and scratchy towels, outdated practice facility and locker room, and come play for the cheapest coach we could find? I don't think so. and that's where we're headed. we'll be the sarver suns or the sterling clippers.
fans just blame everything on him even if it isn't his fault................wouldn't matter who was in charge, they still would get the blame Morey did not leave because of Ferttita. People just don't like change. Morey had a great run, a long run and wants more family time. In these trying times that is understandable You get the sort of fan who cries and cries to sack someone or change the roster and when they get their wish.....................they still have a cry because they are never happy
Haha. Dude you're right. It wasn't TF's fault that we now have a very bare cupboard of draft picks for our immediate future once we start declining rapidly as James' dominance begins to fade. All because TF is a clown and thinks he knows better than people who live and breath basketball. Haha you're right it wasn't TF's fault that we traded for a player who statistically is one of the worst players in history at shooting the 3 ball - you know - the one thing the Rockets do. Haha you're right it wasn't TF's fault that he messed with the team chemistry leading into last season's playoffs by having a standoff with the starting SF because he didn't want to spend money. Haha you're so right bro. You're as right as TF!
I like this post but owners with the exception of Les Alexander who bought for greed Buy for ego Elon would buy for the same reason Balmer bought the clippers
