This is from TMZ. How do they get this stuff? Tiger: I Need a 'Kobe Special' Posted Nov 29th 2009 12:15AM by TMZ Staff Tiger Woods had a "Kobe Special" on his brain hours after what looks like a domestic dispute with his wife, Elin Nordegren -- this according to someone who spoke with Tiger on Friday. During the phone conversation on Friday, Tiger told his friend, "I have to run to Zales to get a 'Kobe Special.'" The person on the other end of the phone asked Tiger what a "Kobe Special" was. The reply -- "A house on a finger." During the conversation, Tiger said his wife had "gone ghetto" on him. As we first reported, Tiger told the friend his wife had scratched his face up during an argument over a report that the golf great had cheated on her. The "other woman" named in the story -- Rachel Uchitel -- calls the report "bulls**t." Of course, the Kobe reference is the now-famous house/ring he gave his wife Vanessa after the whole Colorado thing. We're assuming Tiger was joking, though he can certainly afford it. There is no crime without a witness. Spouses cannot be compelled to testify against their partner and the police were not on the scene. The "accident" renders their explanation of the physical injuries plausible. Barring a witness, someone at the the house at 2AM, this too can be spun. Can Tiger even be compelled to make a statement? Couldn't he just plead Nolo Contendere for any traffic violations and pay his fine? Is their any motivation for the local Windemere Barneys to pursue this beyond the matching stories of the two people who are involved? I think they will be much more inclined to protect the privacy of the very rich folks of their jurisdiction rather than promote an invasion of paparazzi. Most of the roads around that part of the county are just two lane blacktop between the lakes and ditches.
What's the motivation of a "friend" to tell the media anything? If you had that conversation with Tiger and it becomes public, you know you are dead to him. Although we know there is something to this story, we've got to get it through our heads that we can attribute no validity to unnamed sources; or tweets. The prevalence of attention whoring and gossip mongering for the 'hits' should make discerning skeptics of us all.
I told you guys what happened in the other thread that was started at the same time as this one http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=177852&highlight=tiger
f'n women...crazy jealous women...so she beats his ass, he drives into a tree/etc. to fake his injuries and he is going to end up buying the Kobe special...hilarious...
whats with tiger cancelling meeting with police 3 times? i guess if you have enough money you can choose when you want to meet with police? charges i assume werent pressed, but if the police are wanting to speak, you would think you should be pretty prompt in doing so
He doesn't have to meet with the police at all......he should probably tell them no thanks. Here is my drivers license and insurance.... That is all he is required to give. DD
No kidding. Considering how often the story has changed, he's better off keeping his mouth shut (if he can close it, what with the lacerations caused by the "fire hydrant"). The only actor in this melodrama looking good is the dog. Sorry, KC!
I'm sure tiger has good lawyers telling him what to do. this whole story is bizarre. very un-tiger like
Well Tiger is trying to hide a supposed extramarital affair, so the last thing he wants is even more coverage of his wife being thrown in jail. Not saying that this hasn't blown into a big media circus already, which it has.
Maybe I missed something, but police have nothing but an accident report, this hasn't been reported as domestic violence yet. Tiger wants this covered up bigtime and the wifey will play along unless she wants to go to jail.
Can they proceed without evidence? If Tiger had called 911, had gone to a police station and given a statement then changed his mind or if they could at least view his wounds, then police might be able to pursue charges with some chance at conviction. But if Tiger stays holed up long enough, there is no case. And based on his released statement, Tiger's stance is to hush everything down.
