No, you are missing the point, all this does for me is show that he is a phony.

Doesn't change the way I view his golf or him in his sport.

It is not a generalization, it is how I view him, why do you even care? It doesn't effect you in the slightest, nor me for that matter, just saying what I think.

I will do the best I can on this...

Tiger had his accident very early in the morning on the day after Thanksgiving. There had been reports that he had been having an affair with this NY events planner woman (Uchitel is her name, I think) a couple of days before the accident. Tiger's injuries in the accident were not really jiving with the types of injuries you would get in a car accident. Also there were reports that Elin, his wife, knocked out the back window of his vehicle to save him. But why knock out the back window instead of the front where he was? Her story to police was inconsistent and she had to change it. Tiger postponed meetings with the police like 3 different times which added fuel to the fire that this was all about the alleged affair. Then throw in this new chick, Grubbs, who said she ALSO was having an affair with him. Now apparently she has released this phone conversation between her and Tiger that clearly implicates him as cheating on his wife. Now, Tiger has released a statement on his own website, apologizing to his fans for his behavior and how he has let them down and wants to be a better husband and father and requests more privacy. THE END.

No what is weak sauce is you trying to tell others how they should respond or care.

Why does it bother you that others think he is a phony?

I mean you don't care, right?

Personally, I value the marriage vows, a LOT, and when others can't keep the most important promise they made in their entire lives, it tells me they can't keep their word in anything.

How is he a phony DaDa?

He hasn't preached moral values. All he's done is whack a ball around the lawn and hock Nike and Buicks. He's kept his personal life private. He hasn't even asked anybody to "be like Mike."

Maybe he's a cad? Maybe he's a poor role model? A lousy father?

    But not a phony.

    Definitly a Cad.

A phony as a family man, a husband, don't know about father....I hope not.

Doesn't effect me one way or the other regarding him as a golfer.

Honestly I am surprised that grown men even care what others think about him....talk about hypocritical.

Infidelities happen a million times a day.

The only time I take any glee in the reports is when it's someone who has set themselves up as some self professed moral superior.

I totally agree, yes it may sound hypocritical that I seem to care more about someone's reaction than the actual subject but I do care about how the public responds to these stories

the public reaction says a lot more about our society to me than tiger's actions

I bet a vast majority of guys dogging Tiger if given Tiger's money and opportunity would not remain faithful to their wives. It's sad, but true.

Is there any guy who has cheated who has felt like it was a good idea in the end? After the little flings, it always seems to end in a massive, massive headache.

Being rich and famous DOES work as bait but its not the only reason it happened. Guys out there cheat on their spouses all the time and it doesnt mean they dont love their spouses anymore or dont want to be with them anymore. Its just us guys getting a taste of a different flavor dessert. And Tiger just happened to be one of those guys, except his story is gettin magnified because hes this popular figure. People need to just leave him alone.

I guess it would be easier if I were like you and changed my opinion everytime with general consensus.

It depends on where you define the endpoint.

Laying in bed after a crazy chick has banged you every way you can imagine.

    Good!

Feeling the guilt of betrayal after you get caught.

    Bad!

Reviewing your life and times on your deathbed.

She could have been the single most exciting event you experienced.

I find it interesting that Tiger chastises the media for spreading "false and malicious" rumors.... yet he won't make a public statement and set the record straight. Does he really expect media agencies to think, "Tiger is having an affair? We shouldn't cover any of that - let's respect his privacy."

It's also interesting that he expects the public to believe that ridiculous story that hitting the tree and fire hydrant was an accident, and that his wife smashed the windows to get him out of the car.

Tiger shouldn't be bashing the media for connecting the dots when all he provides are lies an silence.
