Cat is a good player and above average scorer, but he is black hole. The ball goes to him and that is the end of the rotation. He'll shoot it most of the time. He would ruin the chemistry the Rockets have now.
And for those of you glass half filled types.....we are only 3 games back of Dallas for the 4th seed.
And while Dallas IS still winning they are not playing perticularly well right now. You can here it in there voices during interviews on the radio here in Dallas...they know they are not playing well and Houston is coming straight for them. I think at this stage Houston is just a better team than either Dallas or Sac so as long as we don't fall back to 6th I think we have a damn good chance at the 2nd round which will probably be against SA or PHX.
I am, a bit. I don't like the fact that we can either be in first place, or fourth place, but we don't have a shot at 2nd or third place. That sucks. -- droxford
welcome, but to some of the geeks around here, your opinion won't matter much because you have less than 1000 posts.
I looked at the remaining schedule for Sac, Dal, and Houston. I predict this finish: - Sac 8-8 - Dal 11-7 - Hou 12-6 Unfortunately, we will not pass Dallas for the 4th spot. I hope I'm wrong.
How's that? Peja took a lot more shots and KT shot as many as Cat did. Cat was just hitting a lot better than his teammates.
the Rockets have a .705 winnng percentage since they made the Wesley trade and got to .500 in late 2004. Over a full season - that is almost 58 wins 58 win teams are not your typical 5th place teams in the playoffs - don't think about those first 2 games with Dallas when you think about the playoffs (even though we almost beat them with the old team in Dec) - think about the way both teams are playing now
Definitely. I LOVED the 2 division set ups per conference. Much easier to follow and added prestige to winning a division title.
On a side note, I am a HUGE Cat fan, but no way does Cat fit this current Rockets team. I'd take Wesley and Barry every day of the weak in this lineup over Cat. Not only are they equal scorers and better outside shooters and as good defenders but they pass the ball so well and they're floor generals out there.
