Exactly what I did. Except they gave me heat about the 11-16, and wanted me to demonstrate that it didn't telescope.

I took this 70-210 into an Aeros game (in my jacket) and had my prime 50mm 1.8 on the camera on entrance. Didn't even get a look. Another person I was meeting there was told to return their lens to their car. :-/

Row 26, 2nd to last seat. Pretty close guess!

Why do they care so much about a big lense?

    Seems stupid to me.

because the photos of the NBA are copyright... other people can sell quality pictures illegally with bigger lenses

Thanks. Around the mid way point of the 4th, I decided to move down to the lower bleachers. My lens at full telescope is probably 10" long (teehee!), but I decided if they wanted to throw me out, I'd be fine with that with it being such a blow out. haha

I only got the "Excuse me sir, about your camera...." on the way out.

At the Aeros game, my friend was told the large lenses will glare and distract the players. YEAH RIGHT! haha
