If you look at metro areas (which is what counts), SA is at 1.9 million and OKC at 1.2 million, so a little closer than what you think.
Doh. I guess I need to learn how to use google maps. I guess I was getting Norman and Stillwater confused.
Hey chad, send me an email man, I just moved to Everett, WA and was going to go up to Vancouver soon.
Wow. I didn't see that coming. Say, I'm kinda hungry but I'm in the middle of nowhere. Can you point me to the nearest McDonalds? LOL
Nice, it is like I walked into a D&D thread! Sonics were 27th last year with 9,146, but I can certainly understand why the fans were not flocking to the arena
ok speaking of lacking in IQ,I am reasonably new to message boards; i know that IMO is "in my opinion" but what the heck is LOL??
...... And the award for stupidest newcomer to Clutchfans is ...... stephen94..... stand up and take a bow!
My guess is the boy was born in 94, that makes him 13, 14 yr old. Cut him some slack. Btw, don't lump "these new guys lately" together. Some old guys are not so sharp yourselves.
I think OKC probably has a bit of a chip on their shoulder because everyone keeps saying they don't have the market to support an NBA team. So, they buy up tickets to prove OKC can hang with the other big metropolises of the US. It's an effect I don't think will last forever -- though winning can keep them profitable, like it does in San Antonio.
