We shouldn't have been expecting Thunder fans to send Bev any get well cards or well wishes. It's still in poor taste to celebrate injury but not surprised at all with Thunder fans reaction to this.
Just a few posts. From the whining you'd think clay Bennett bought a full page ad on the Hicksville Times gloating over Beverley's injury...
Classless and stupid. Any fan who still think the Westbrook play was dirty are just really stupid. There opinion means nothing to me.
At the end of the day, they live in Oklahoma. So I can't help but feel a little sorry for them no matter what they do.
Not that it justifies anything but Houston has fans like those too. Nothing to really get upset about imo. Ex. See Matt Schaub
It's not just OKC fans. Go to the espn article and read the comments if you have the stomach for it. Every time there is any piece of news on the rockets on espn it's open season for fans to trash us. I attribute part of this to a Northeast bias, but the fact of the matter is that most of the rest of the country looks down on us. Anytime we have success they will do anything they can to undermine its significance. Anytime we are mobilizing upward they will stand in our way. It's time that the Rockets and the city of Houston stood up for itself. Us vs Them. That's what this is. If you ain't with us, then you're against us, and if you're against us then prepare to be knocked down. We can't be the lovable losers anymore. We're on the rise and pretty soon everybody else will have to notice us. They'll have to make space for us because they will have no choice. Economically and culturally our time is nigh. So make your voice heard, Rocket fans. Don't let the enemy's propaganda disseminate without uproar. If you're out of town, let your city pride be known. If you're here in Houston, don't tolerate the dastardly slings of the carpetbagger working class. Stand up for yourself, and stand up for your team. Win the psychological battle, let the players know you've got their backs, and they too might discover the mental edge to overcome their opponents. We're all soldiers in this struggle, and if each one of us does our part then we will surely prevail.
Don't give two ****s. They'll win zero championships and both of their stars will leave that hell hole and nobody will hear from Oklahoma City again.
Nail on the head. Lived in Broklahoma for a few years, and it's exactly that. Bunch of dirty, meth heads. Lol. That's all it's. The whole state is basically trailer trash. Also, people want to talk about the south being racist...****, go to Oklahoma. Everybody is racist. I got called the N word there more in one day, than all the times I've heard it overall in my entire life. I'm Hispanic and only dealt with a few racists when I grew up in Houston. In OK, they have no shame. To them, that's how life's supposed to be. Generation after another, just firing racist comments all day. I guarantee all minorities on the Thunder are talked about the same way, by everybody. And, AGAIN, when I say it's nothing but meth heads, I mean nothing but meth heads. There is nothing to do there whatsoever.
Not really, lotta people around the country liked TMac n Yao. Lotta people right now dislike Harden (FT's his game etc) n especially Dwight. Its similar to LeBron thing, the way he left CLE, lotta people begun to dislike him, so they trash Miami most of the time.
I think ive seen just as many posters say theyre happy about this on that forum of 50 people as i have on this forum of 50,000 This thread alone is nothing but we are classless fans too without any quotes to prove it.
