Throwing away games for better playoff position?

What do you think about throwing away games for better playoff matchup?

  1. That ain't right, we can beat anyone even if it's Utah/Hornets

  2. Do it, anything to get out of first round

Actually that's the key. The Rockets need to be in position 2, 3, 6, or 7 so that we do not have to face the Lakers in the 2nd round. that is truly the only team that scares me in the playoffs.

I'm glad to see that people are starting to choose option 1. ;)

I'm not saying it will be necessary, just that I would definately do it to avoid the Jazz. Like I said, it's too early to say right now. If it is necessary, it would only be the last game of the season.

i would only throw away the last game if that decides we play utah or not. i remember jvg had our starting unit play the pointless last game of the season and we ended up playing dallas instead of seattle.

besides, rockets need to keep on winning to keep their momentum into the playoffs

lol, I guarantee you that even the Lakers would rather tank a game to avoid playing Utah in the 1st round. Smart people put themselves into the best positions to succeed, dumb people, out of pride, put themselves in the toughest positions even when they can avoid it.

The Rox are terrible on the road, we have lost to crappy teams on the road. Must get the home court at all costs in the first round.

They were six games better than the #2 seed, the last game of the regular season had no bearing on their seeding...

And hell, their last game of the season was against the Sonics. You're WAY off here, buddy...

The last game against the Mav...

IF losing the game will not change our PO standing...
IF Mav will get the 7th spot and Utah gets the 8th...

Then I say, let our starters rest and let fate sort it out.

I wouldn't mind but I also wouldn't do it just to matchup against the Blazers. I wanna see us get the 3rd seed so if we do get out of the 1st round this year we won't have to face the Lakers til the conference finals if we get that far.

that is the team the Rockets should matchup against; no doubt. we can let CP3 do his scoring and shutdown all the other Hornets. That's the best matchup for us in the 1st round.

    NEVER TANK

    Not for a draft pick
Not for a playoff position to avoid a team

    NEVER!!

While some love the Spurs . . . .and respect what they became
    I don't . .. I won't . . . .
Because the Spurs TANKED to get Tim Duncan

    NO TANKS!!

i don't think we can get 2 seed
3 seed is the best :
in the 1st round ,we can avoid jazz; in the 2nd round ,we can avoid lakes
    come on,we cannot beat them
    we must face it

I'd much rather go into the playoffs rolling and playing our best bball of the season.

Kings and Warriors back to back away will be a tough ask on us physically, need to spread the mins around and keep everyone fresh.

MUST beat Hornets and Mavericks. Hate em both.

You don't throw games under any circumstances or karma will come back to get even with you. I guarantee it.
