He didn't really have an advantage considering how many 6'11 + guys sporting 7-6+ wing span and 9-4+ standing reaches. He relied on skill. Dmo is the closest thing to Yao in the post that the Rockets got in a long time. Oh yeah Scola too at times.
I copped a retro Yao Jersey ( the championship era throwbacks). Best eBay purchase I've made in a while!
Dope. Im trying to find the blue one in adult medium but every time I check ebay, its always 3XL or a youth medium.
^^^this so much. dude's touch was do soft and footwork was so minimal, but fundamentally sound. argh! miss that dude.
Nice! I was at this game. The crowd was stunned at how dominant big Yao was. Up 20 in the third, game was wrapped up early thanks to him
It's great seeing a post game you could rely on. I wish Dwight would put in the work it takes to dominate down low on offense. Gotta love his defense, dunks and rebounding though!
They did in Game 2 or Game 3, and he was a complete nonfactor. I can't recall a similar offensive player that could be so easily completely shut out.
There's a guy named Donatas Montejunas that can do some great stuff in the post. Maybe you've heard of him?
