A look at Sharpton's Twitter feed and transcript from his August 21 program did not show any mention of Lane's death. On Thursday, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, another well-known civil rights figure, and his Rainbow PUSH Coalition issued a statement referring to both the killing of Christopher Lane and the recent beating of a white 13-year-old boy by three black teenagers on a school bus in Florida. The incidents call "each of us to a collectively resist all forms of violence in our society," he wrote. "In particular black on black violence that disproportionately affects every facet of black life in America. These horrific episodes that leave all rationally thinking people appalled and others feeling paralyzed cannot be addressed by our silence and or abdicating our personal responsibility. We urge all persons who believe as we do in the (Martin Luther) King principle of peace all over the globe to rise to the challenge to pursue and promote peace and its principles. We must learn to live together in peace or we will most assuredly die apart in our own neglect." Note: While I believe that black on black crimes are something that every president and civic leader has ignored and needs to be addressed ASAP, that skimmed over the evil that was done because of race. Find another spin Mr Jackson. I dare say I can't believe he hung out with MLK and this is what we are left with. Words and no action Jackson.
Sensationalizing the crime won't change anything. In fact, it only makes it more difficult for real cultural, political, and economic changes to occur. These young men were apparently all over the internet. Didn't their parents read their comments and see their photographs? At what point will parents start being held criminally responsible when their little darlings engage in wanton savagery? And where were the school counselors? Did these young men have anyone assigned to them? To keep tabs on them? Lots of balls were dropped, and there will plenty of people covering their ass.
Sensationalizing is how these guys make their pathetic living - only it's only when whites are the attackers. But what have any of these civic 'leaders' done for one of the biggest problems for black America - black on black crime? Stay silent.

It's their job to keep race issues alive. How would they get paid to continue living the lifestyle they have become accustomed to if we all lived as one? So instead of handling the real issues that trouble today's blacks, they hop on their jet every year or so to fan the flames of any story they can find. That's how they get paid.

Christopher Lane, 22, was shot dead during a training run Friday in Duncan, Okla., by teens who were "bored" and "decided to kill somebody," police chief Danny Ford told the Associated Press. On Tuesday, three suspects in the shooting were charged: Two with murder, and one as an accessory to murder. "The teens aged 15 and 16 were charged with first-degree murder and ordered held without bond. Bond was set at $1 million for the 17-year-old, who was also accused of using a vehicle while a weapon was discharged," the Associated Press reported.
