I think a direct contrast on the fast break recently is C Lee vs K Lowry. Lee tends to take the shot if there is just one defender. Lowry will draw the defense and find his teammate for a shot. To be fair, Lee makes a lot of those so the team still gets the score.
Your Comment about chemistry is true, however, the begining of the season AB (in my opinion) was playing with some bad mojo and I wonder if that cause some bad chemistry. I am not sure if not getting the extension this pass summer was weighing on him. But he wasnt happy and it showed in his play. I am not one to be happy with a player gets injured but I think the injury took his mind off his contract extension and Yao and him being out allowed the team to gell.
Bad mojo? 1.) He just had a child 2.) They were incorporating 2 new players into the rotation, neither of which were playing well. 3.) He had no backup, so he was playing 40+ 4.) Chase who was playing out of his mind last year, entered an uber slump. 5.) At the time, they were playing some of the best teams in the league. Yet despite all of this, we were in every game and each loss was close. With all of this information, you think it was bad mojo....
"You live and die by the 3 ball" I love the sentence. And you gotta play defense to win something We're not playing defense and I am dissapointed.
Yeah, I can't be sure because I just saw mistakes, not the reason behind them. I am sure one's own preconceived notion on Brooks will sway their opinion. But he had how many different lineups in those 5 games?? I didn't see as much of it in the preseason so I am thinking the team was having trouble adjusting to what the other teams would do when the season went live. Having different starting lineups and bench rotations did not help things, either. Not to mention Lowry was injured.
I was referring to taking it all the way in. He has a very good finishing ability in traffic. Sometimes I'd like to see him dish it though.
