So should the rox trade Budinger since he did not make your list or should the rox give him more time to get out of his funk ? AB is still getting traded my friend. Lowry has taken Over .. That theory that no player should lose his job due to injury is a Myth and with Kyle Lowry running the team the chances of winning games have increased..
We don't have to trade someone everytime someone else in their position plays well. We need Brooks' ability to get off his own shot late in games. Give him more time. Lowry looked awful when he first came back from injury too. Judging Brooks on two games of limited action just isn't fair.
As presently contructed, this is a "live by the three, die by the three" team. But I attribute their recent success more to the soft schedule than anything else. The real test will come January when the schedule turns away from sub .500 teams. It will be then when we should be able to get a better handle on this team. I still expect somewhere in the neighborhood of 43-47 wins and flirting with the 9th playoff spot.
I totally agree that we are getting fat on creampuffs, Curry was out last night which helps us a lot...as our guards can not contain Curry and Ellis.... But every game counts, and we might as well gain chemistry while the getting is good. I am happy they are playing well, and tip my hat to Lowry who is playing fantastic basketball.... Kyle Lowry's penetrating/passing is a big part of why the Rockets have shot well behind the arc.

We're shooting it great, but also check out the opponent's shooting percentage on 3s. He used to be one of the best teams at defending the 3-pointer.
I feel for you DD. i find your threads interesting and in some way thought provoking in either a positive or negative fashion, yet the you get bashed by the same people time and time again it makes little sense as hardly any of the bashes create ensightful threads themselves. you should do an experiment and start another account and see if u get the same responses hodgo

There is no doubt, and I get all the blame, I can't talk Rox anymore without some DDingleberry making a personal comment or bringing up some tired argument, I used to let it go, but it just went from a single voice to a chorus to a crescendo, so I decided to fight back with vigor, but that doesn't do anything but clog up the GARM even more. The funny thing is that I don't hate anyone in here, and would have a beer with most everyone, and I try to contribute with incite and thought provoking comments.... Do I have certain favorites? Of course, but we all do.....either way....trust me, I have thought about bailing a lot.....but I seem to be addicted to the Rox, and am too thin skinned to ignore the idiots that tale me around like lost puppies trying to start a fight for attention or rep......it is annoying to say the least. I had none for him until he came into a thread in which I was arguing with people and then went off on me out of the blue.....just floored me, and has never apologized, now he comes into a thread makes a snide comment that is generally inaccurate then runs......I have tried to bury the hatchet, he seems uninterested... I even reached out in email, but he refused to answer..... Just 2 internet whores going at it I guess.....and it continues to degrade the BBS.... DD
What you should worry about is the production again top defense from martin and lowry. Both, especially martin have really struggled against the top defenses. He is shooting 35% and averaging 16 ppg against the top 4 defenses we have faced this year.
I am hoping that all the chemistry will carry over in January, when the schedule tightens up. But there are serious doubts about that......when the competition gets better, will we be able to keep up? DD
So how do you tell Lowry go back to the bench when he's played so well. AB was hurt but even when healthy AB did not play D and he simply does not have the smarts Lowry does at the point. AB is not gonna wanna come off the bench, Lowry is not going to like being benched for AB.. Someone is got to go and AB has more Trade Value as the Most Improved Player of the year.
This is where the coach makes the call, and the player has to bite his upper lip and play the game as asked. If KL or AB starts, they will both play significant minutes....Rick Adelman will have to do his job and make a choice, one will not be happy......but who cares, as long as the team wins? And they will both play key roles......and a lot together, we need them both, regardless of whom starts. DD
Don't derail your own thread now DD, just let it go. The more you worry about your ratings, the lower your thread will be rated. I can guarantee you on this part. As for the topic, we don't want to live by the 3 and die by the 3. We will never become a contender this way. We need a legitimate post presence, or at least a superstar who could take it to the hole and draw a foul. In the regular season, you might lose a couple of games when your shots don't fall, but that wouldn't matter since there are 82 games. In a 7 game series, every game counts, and if our shots don't fall, we could potentially lose the series. It's all about the defence, which I'm still worried about. We need to start putting much more attention on defence if we want to become legit contenders.

It ain't easy Flaming....it would be interesting to see how others would react with all the negative attention and bashing I get.....see how they would handle it. Agree we don't want to live by it and die by it, but that is the team we have without Yao....Scola however has become one heck of a low post threat and Hill is getting there, so there is hope. Defense though, yes, it is still not good on the perimeter, but adding Hill into the mix more often has helped a lot....and my eyes may be deceiving me but Scola looks to be more active and blocking shots now too. We need everyone, but still I think we are too far behind in the standings and too short up front to make any run this year.....we need a roster change and some skilled height added to the mix. DD
I made mention of it in another thread. Against charlotte,chicago,dallas and n.o., martin shot 35,40,26,and 41 fg% and never cracked over 18ppg. Against those same teams, lowry shot 42,36,42,and 42 which coming from lowry, you kinda expect but as far as pts and asst, he was 6-6,11.5-5.5,6-5,9-3. In all fairness, he only played 26 mins per against dallas and 20 mins vs no. I'm charting these things, but I guess we will see with miami coming up.
