Pretty much, they just dunk it into this big pot o peanut oil and fry away. I only tasted it a couple of times and it's not greasy at all, even though I know all that oil is in there.

I would never try to make one myself, probably set my Apt. on fire.

The best turkey I ever had was cooked in a deep fryer. It's much, much quicker to cook and doesn't dry out at all, leaving the turkey incredibly moist. And it doesn't taste "fried" like you'd think.

You do need to know what you're doing, there's a fire hazard inherent in cooking with that much grease/oil.

I've had fried turkey before. The meat seemed tougher than the baked turkey. Maybe it wasn't fried right, but I preferred the baked one.

Bah, saw someone made a joke about the line already.

I'm eating with my brother and my mom, then...well...I don't know what I'm doing tomorrow other than that.

I shall rise and immediatley take in that unmatched wholesome smell for hours upon hours before finally being able to partake in such a feast. Then after I have consumed my fill I shall retire to a room with adequate football coverage and be affixed there until I have the strength to get back up and move onto the delicious deserts, then after many hotly contested rounds of various card games, I shall collapse like so much mud.

We're doing two Thanksgivings really. We'll get up, watch the Macy's and Houston parades then go to my dad's house for lunch. We go either to my dad's or my mom's, but not both because they live on opposite ends of town. We'll stop off to visit the in-laws after lunch.

On Friday, Mrs JB and I will have OUR Thanksgiving. We'll have the all veggie meal including Tofurky (mmmm...) and enjoy Seinfeld DVD's and a game or two of Trivial Pursuit 90's edition. :D

I've never liked parades. I think they suck. Watching them in person is boring and on TV is just monotonous.

Going to go volunteer and pass out cookies and cards to the elderly at various Houston nursing homes. If anyone else is interested in volunteering here is a great website to check out. Click Here

I am going down to Georgia with my mother to see my grandmother in the hospital for what will probably be the last time I will see her alive.
