You know it is kind of sad when you have to search hard for the positives. There are a few, like "Lowry didn't die of an infection." No team member was hit by space junk. A giant sink hole didn't swallow up the Toyota Center. And so on. Try winning a lot of games next time, that might be fun. Fifteen years = One playoff series victory!
Thanks you to the whole team for giving us a lot of pride and playing an exciting brand of basketball for stretches of this season. There was the Kyle Lowry-led team as the season began and the Goran Dragic-led team towards the end. The disappointment notwithstanding, we are proud of this team. In a season of ups and downs, Chandler was a major constant with his defensive hustle, mature decision-making, and improved shooting. Will enjoy watching your game grow. Kyle for embracing his leadership role while going through the coaching change. We know you had differences with McHale but you stuck with it for the team. Many experts acknowledged: You should have been an All-Star this year. Keep improving. Goran for getting your confidence back and flourishing as a starter. For that magical stretch there, you had us all believing we could beat any team. Choose your next team wisely. Luis for being the steadying force on the court at all times. Doesn't let anything (no botched trades, Kevin Love stomp) divert his focus. Just love what you bring every game. And thank you for that dunk attempt. Sammy and Marcus, for being intimidating forces in the paint. You gave us a glimpse of what we had been missing many seasons now. Thanks you for wanting to play in HOU.
