Great thread. I would probably have voted for Daddy Mac if anyone but Barack or Hillary was running against him.

He's twitchy and that appeals to me.

    Max:

Please do wax on and on about that, in whichever thread, if you're comfortable doing so. I would love to read it.

I would too like to hear this max, although I will not read any "debate" you have about it with tj/texxx. I don't read their tripe.

Yeah, we still need to do that. But I hope you'll post some about it too, to the extent that that's comfortable for you.

BigTexx. I don't particularly agree with Obama's stance on abortion. But I do agree with the majority of his other policies. Thankfully, I'm not a one issue voter.

ok...I'll try to start a thread about it...particularly if i have some time. but let me make it clear, i won't be speaking for all Christians...there are tons of people seeking to follow after Jesus who see politics different from me....to the left and to the right of me. some of those are here on this board and in NO WAY do i mean to imply that their faith is any less vital or real because they vote differently.

Max - I don't want you to do this simply because I feel like BigTexx is "baiting" you into doing so. He doesn't deserve that type of attention IMO.

Why does McCain have to always remind us that he was a POW in Vietnam. How on earth does that make him better suited to be the President of the US?
To me, it's just like someone repeatedly reminding us how much money they've donated to charity...it's respectable, but it's not something you need to keep reminding us of..we got it the first time.

    I'm voting Obama.

Obama is also in favor of removing the capital gains taxes on startup companies.....

Which would move a lot of money into new growth and new businesses.

Now THAT is the way to go....

    100k to 250k is not middle-class - it's upper class.

100K maybe middle class but 250K per year definitely isn't. Any family that can afford a bmw, mercedes, or escalade is not middle class.

250k doesn't go as far as it used to. I think it is the "new" 100k if that makes any sense.
