how effing stupid do you have to be to broadcast that unaccompanied minors will not be sent back it's a magnet for a humanitarian disaster
From the kids I've worked with that come from these centers, most have at least 1 parent here, the other back in Honduras or El Salvador. A good amount stay with aunts or uncles with very few having both parents here. Actually, I don't think I've met 1 that came here like these kids with both parents on this side of the wall.
For some context, here is the scale of the current immigration crisis. 2019 was 3 years into the Trump administration when he had implemented all of the GOP's favorite border solutions.
Thanks for the feedback and props for doing such a tough job. If these kids are wandering in and need a home, there are plenty of people in the US that would take them in.

I went back and reread the thread, I'm surprised no one picked up on this NBC story a week ago: https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/im...ng-their-kids-across-border-alone-so-n1261249 Some migrants now sending their kids across the border alone so the kids won't be expelled, say lawyers Currently the Biden administration is expelling all new asylum seekers arriving in the U.S., citing Covid precautions — except children who arrive alone.
