Somebody please correct me, but isn't it more than likely that the Milwaukee pick has to go to Vancouver (barring another deal that satisfies our obligation)? ------------------
Let Dream go if he wants. Dream might help the Heat to a better record than the Bucks. That would improve our selection with the Bucks' pick. If he stays and helps us get to the playoffs, we loose our own first round pick and Dream leaves next year anyway. The only place he can help us is in the East. Next year, if we don't get Webber, Marc Jackson would be a good fit with the Rockets. There will be alot of offers for both and for Mo also. We'd be lucky to move Cato, let alone get any major value in return. When we traded for Sir Charles, the quest for instant rewards cost too much, IMO. Aside from what we gave up, it lead to the Quiten deal. So the best hope for improvement might be the draft. Griffin might be more trouble than he's worth, but there are other SF's that can help on D. Battier for one, and we shouldn't have to move up to get him. Let Dream go, he can only help us in the East. [This message has been edited by Smoke (edited January 20, 2001).]
