I went to the first game...here are my thoughts: 1. it's not a baseball park..there's not going to be something that is really going to separate it big time from any other arena...though, it does appear to have more luxury suites than most. 2. i had a andouille sausage that was fantastic...i'm certain i too will miss Pappa's crawfish basket, though. I paid $6 from the sausage...I used to pay $7.50 for a lot of crawfish and fries, too. i'll miss that. 3. parking was easier at compaq...but i have no complaints about parking downtown...find a meter unoccupied after 6 and it's absolutely free. i can't beat free. 4. i think the suites and all the nice amenities on that level keep people from coming out into the bowl itself...which creates the impression there are less people there than there actually are. 5. the scoreboards are great...and i really dig the ring around the arena. 6. i will miss the compaq center...it was a very intimate arena that was easy to get in and out of. plus, i have a ton of memories there. but i'm sure i'll come to love TC just as well...particularly if we win championships there.
