"Hell, i don't understand any argument that says one particular thing is a key" Good. There is no "key". But who am I talking to... Team game. But a couple of relevant "pointers" - not 'keys', mind you... Shandon can compliment a 3-guard set with consistent D; Shandon is quiet - and loyal. His total on anyone's b****ing Index is minimal... If there is a "key" to winning, it will be a "key" that no single player can unlock. Shandon will only be a small part of that. I'd guess that Steve and Cuttino will have to lead us there. ------------------
Ahhh.. come on Pimp, I thought you knew how to watch a game objectively..(or are you too busy tryin to sneak down to the lower level?) Stackhouse was gonna get his no matter who is on him, kinda like Kobe. All you can hope to do is limit what he gets. I was wastching the Stack/Shan matchup all nite, and I really think that Shan did a pretty decent job of it. The way Stack was playin, he very well could have gone off for 55-60 or so. Whether you believe it or not, the Rockets have been getting better at getting over to help out their teammates on defense and that is my definition of "team defense". if you don't agree, then write it off as a difference of opinion and leave it at that. I have no desire to argue with ya. ------------------ President of the CC.Net Thread-Killers.
Don't sweat it Rockets2K, I'm very judgemental when it comes to the Rockets defense. I do agree that the Rockets had their moments where they played good defense, but I view the night as a whole as an average(at best) defensive performance aloowing 44% shooting and 97 points. The first 42 minutes they did not play great defense. Stackhouse got to the basket almost at will, including one reverse dunk, if I recall correctly. However, the last 6 minutes when they made Stackhouse pass the ball and our guys rotated through the passing lanes quickly to the man with the ball...that IMO was good team defense. ------------------ "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. I guess that would explain where the extra 10-12 points went that I figgered that Stackhouse would get. ------------------ President of the CC.Net Thread-Killers.
