Shoot, I'd take 38% from 3 and a guy who can still create for himself playing 18-24mpg. I don't care how old he is, you cant leave him. And he ISSSSS a point guard (if what Terry does can be considered playing PG then anyone can play PG for the Rockets - lulz). I'd actually rank Ray Allen ahead of Pierce, regardless of the year off. Better from 3, has contributed in a wide variety of schemes, can still defend, decent actor, no stab wounds.
reasonable arguments. but allen is 40yrs old. or is he already 41? to me that too big of a concern, enough to rule him out.
Isn't he in an opt-out year? So he'll either complete another year in DC or join his friends (Rivers and Cassell) in LA and play where he grew up.
I'd sing Allen, Pierce and KG to vet minimum contracts if they'd all come. If I had to choose one, it would clearly be Pierce.
Pierce would definitely be a great addition as a different look from Ariza who can actually create his own damn shot or an upgrade to Brewer at the backup 4...too bad the Rox have almost zero chance to get him LOL what exactly is the point of this thread? He has as much chance of coming to Houston as Lebron James.
Not one of our off season needs. I think it'd be fun to watch him in a Rockets uniform but I like Ariza/Brewer better.
Guys- he's not going to the Clippers. He's not a point guard. I'd take Pierce. He could give us a solid 15 minutes per game. Give veteran leadership. Especially since I think Kostas gets traded this offseason anyway.
When you're as close as we were, you don't try to go changing too much. Add a piece, like the Bad Boys Pistons did, and try again.
