wade and lebron would take less money if it means they can keep winning together.

or, they will all leave if they can't. except wade who is a lifer

How would Bosh respond to being voted off the island?

What if Pau and/or Amar'e were amnestied - - would there, should there be an interest from TheToyShop's chief elf?

Older than Harden, but hardly too old to still be a legit max player. I'd say he's got 4 more years of prime play. He'll get one more max deal before he's truly too old.

Or Lebron goes back to Cleveland. He and kyrie can win a title.

This is the risk I'm thinking of with regard to trying to acquire Bosh. His player options give him the power to control the Rockets flexibility. Even if there's less than a 5% chance of signing LBJ if/when he opts out, it's worth taking a swing at him. Bosh would most likely opt out too giving what ever team he's on the flexibility to go after any FA including LBJ or Wade, but it's a risk that Bosh might not opt out and therefore handcuffing the team he's on.

Those player options are all about the control being in the players hands making it hard for the team who has any of those 3 to plan and be flexible.

Would it be worth the risk to acquire a legit all-star PF but give up flexibility for a run at other tier 1 FA?

there are some ups and downs with Bosh

Up: Great mid range jumper, plays the 4 good and he can block shots

Down: Skinny and will get bullied

I realy think that Lebron will opt out. He likes to have a dominant SG on his side. Wade might have just one or two seasons left at a high level. The question is then what Lebron wants perspective or a big market. If he wants perspective the Rockets might have chance. We have Harden and the Spurs, Grizzlies and Mavs in our Division.
But no matter who we sign one thing must be clear the Rockets are Hardens team now.

2Pat ceiling is a NBA role player. Easily replaceable. He doesn't rebound like a power forward.

Yeah I'm inclined to agree. As much of an upgrade he'd be and potentially at a bargain given miami's financial situation, those options might be too much of a price to pay for DM. If there weren't any other bigger name FA's out there at that time he might take bosh with the options but its hard to lock yourself in when there such people out there like lbj.

Lebron and a bunch of middle schoolers could win the nba title.
