lol even if they beat us , they have to go through gsw and memphis. if its memphis, he wont be stirring the pot with tony allen shadowing him.
Austin Rivers is an awkward dude. He looked really hesitant while he stirred the pot, as if his dad was going to spank him for it.
If you are in the NBA, then you are talented enough to score. If no one is guarding you, then it's easier to score. Rivers isn't being guarded for some reason so he's taking advantage of it.
Superstar in the making! 7 games against Spurs: 14 minutes | 41% | 28% 3pt | 50% FT | 1.1 reb | 0.7 ast | 0.3 stl | 5.4 points 3 games against Rockets: 25 minutes | 56% | 53% 3pt | 75% FT | 2.3 reb | 2.3 ast | 1.7 stl | 17.3 points *With the help of the Rockets defense
Damn some of yall need to give props where it's due. Yes, Rivers was arguably the worst player in the league last year. Yes, he was also pretty bad even when he came to LAC (posted a -1 WAR, meaning LAC would have the 2 seed if they never played him). But he has shown up not only against us (take it FWIW) but also against SAS. Yes he left college early, and that really hurt his development. But his recent good play isn't just due to 'daddy saved me from the big bad league'. He's earned it on his own. He's been a touch matchup, even with some of his sloppy mistakes. Give props where it's due. Hopefully he regresses--hard--to the mean. Although I do believe Pat would toy with him on D, we gotta put pressure on him.
I remember there was a thread on him a couple years ago about how he was statistically one of the worst rookies/players ever to step onto an NBA court.
This is what I think of him <iframe class="imgur-embed" width="100%" height="404" frameborder="0" src="http://i.imgur.com/fZL3xx2.gifv#embed"></iframe>
It was an ESPN Inside article: "Austin Rivers: Worst Season Ever?" http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=231258
The Rockets have pretty much allowed the Clippers to punk them in every way possible. It's been the Clippers who have been the aggressors at every junction, and we've been the ones stumbling and bumbling. That needs to change tonight.
The guy was the 10th pick in the draft a couple of years ago. He has talent and now has confidence, which makes him a problem and the Clippers better.
