I'd take the local guys over national any day. It seemed like Kerr and Albert were disappointed that the Rockets were winning. I like the insight of Worrell and to an extent, Clyde. I'm just sick of the same commercials they play on FSN over and over. At least on TNT we got some new commercials.

I just love TNT crews. I don't like local commentators because they are usually too much a homer.

    TNT >> Local >>>> ESPN

They are entertaining, and ill admit they seem to know alot about the game (Kenny more than Charles), but I like our guys better simply for the Rockets info that they have. If its on both channels ill record one and watch the other later.

You are kidding right? Rockets consistently limit opponents to a low shooting percentage. That takes the number of shot out of the way, Van Gundy is the best defensive coach in the league, period.

You're 100% correct....and I think Hubie's the best of the lot. Those guys always add great insights aren't masters of the obvious.

Actually, the Rockets weren't winning. The Cavs were losing.

Oh, and Hughes is still hurt.

I would rather listen to a kitten in a meatgrinder than hear Marv Albert call a game.

Now Marv Albert in a meat grinder, maybe.

i listen to the tnt or espn guys when the rockets are nationally televised... sometime it's nice to hear diff voices and diff point of views for a change. Besides, the national guys will not hold back when it comes to criticisms and areas of improvement.

Steve Kerr is Rockets hater.... Dude just didnt have anything good to say about the Rocks for the entire game, or for any game he broadcasts with the Rockets...... I always hated him when he played for the Bulls and Spurs.

Did you guys know that Hughes was hurt? There's something about Hughes being hurt, and being hurt is Hughes. Hughes was supposed to guard TMac, but he's hurt. Lebron Lebron Lebron, something about Tmac, Lebron Lebron Lebron. Lets interview Hughes, who is hurt by the way. The Cavs are playing a horrible game, the cavs are losing, the cavs keep putting up bad shots...oh yea, the rockets made a basket, but back to the cavs who are losing at the moment.

My recap of the TNT game. Not the most accurate depiction of the game, but eerily similar. Of course, this is what I hear from the perspective of a homer and I have this strange selective hearing problem :D .

LMAO! that's pretty much exactly how it went down. larry hughes would have had no effect whatsoever on t-mac.

also LMAO on the rockets not being a good defensive team. the rockets haven't had an opponent shoot over 50% from the field since last season. there might be less possesions in a rockets game but if you're only looking at that to determine how good are defense is you're going to look bad.

You guys are really overreacting on the Hughes comments. They were just pointing out how Houston was exploiting the fact that Damon Jones would be the guy picking up McGrady on the switch rather than the taller Hughes. I didn't see any disrespect or bias at all.

I think Harlan and Marv Albert are hands down the best voices in sports. Doug Collins and Hubie Brown are both incredible analysts with the insight they provide. I can do without Reggie Miller and Steve Kerr. All of the ESPN guys like Tolbert and Mussberger are god awful.

As far as Charles and Kenny, I said this in the other thread, but their act has grown tiresome. You're supposed to talk about the game, but unless you're Miami, Detroit, or San Antonio, those guys couldn't care any less about you or the game. It could be an amazing 130-128 thriller between the Wolves and the Cavs, but they'll just point out why the two teams aren't contenders, why Detroit and San Antonio is head and shoulders above everyone else, and that Ginobili is back in the lineup.

Bull****...the Hughes stuff was ridiculous, especially coupled with the fact that they mentioned how disappointing our season was numerous times with only a couple of mentions of having our nearly 20/10 guy out.

Our season has been disappointing and they put up that cute graphic with the games missed for each player identifying the body part injured.

The Hughes talk just seemed like more usual nutting over McGrady from TNT to me.

I'm on the sideline, and the Cleveland staff is reporting that Hughes isnt really hurt, he's faking an injury because he's afraid that Ryan Bowen will roundhouse kick him. Nonetheless, Hughes is still hurt...and wait, Ive now been informed that they have officially renamed the word "hurt" to "Hughes" in the dictionary. Marv and Steve will now call Hughes is "Hughes". Back to you guys.

I'm doing this in all good natured ribbing...I enjoy hearing TNT, and I am very entertained by these people. These are just things that stuck out to me as a fan. Doesnt mean I cant make fun of them right :) ?
