A guy who will clean up around the paint, block shots, rebound and bring some intensity,Kenneth Faried would have fit so much better for this rockets team than Marcus Morris.

They would have sent him down the Dleague just the same.

Most likely, but he would have been called up already just because he brings skills this team sorely lacks in. He would've eaten Bud's minutes for sure and would have fit well with the second unit.

Denver was 5-10 for February due to injuries that gave Faried minutes. We haven't had an injury to the front court, really. He likely would not have gotten minutes, and Greg Smith is our Faired, anyhow.

Rockets were not looking for a guy that would just fit into the second unit though. They were looking for a guy that had potential to be an all-star...and still the verdict is out on Morris, he may well be that.

Just saying I still wouldn't take Faried over Morris as of today. Just think Mook has much more potential.

Isaiah Thomas has really shined to that starter role

Not as long as Morris though. Faried has a skill that translates immediately to what we need on the court. Even now we need him.

Faried is productive now and is just getting started. Many of us were questioning the decision on draft day. I'm not saying Morris was a bad pick. I'm just saying that there were other picks ready defensively to contribute. Now Morris is behind the curve.

Yeah and if Morris does what the Rockets expect him to then it wouldn't really matter. An All-star player in the future is better than some role player who can contribute now.

The only reason Morris is behind the curve IMO is because the Rockets sent him to the Dleague. I look at the shots and opportunities Chase and Parsons get in the offense and can't help but wonder what Morris would do with those very same shots. I think he'd produce as a scorer right away. He'd be a liability on defense but many rookies are.

With that said it's not like he'd be the only guy to break out a year or two later than when he was drafted.

Morris was a mistake. Should have taken Nikola Vucevic.

Morris will absolutely be able to score in the league.
He is a bad fit for our team because his strengths are not what we need most right now.

I hope Morey moves Chase and Dragic for some big man help which should allow a backup trio of Morris/Lee/Twil to man our 1-2-3.
That is a tough second unit!

There should be a steal of the draft award.

I'm really honestly getting tired of that excuse. I used to coach basketball and I know it's not the NBA, but I only judged guys by how they played in the game. I think they should have made room for Morris in an actual game, atleast just one game. If he sucked during that game ok, fine send him to D-League. If there is an off chance that he could be what we are looking for, you have got to give it a shot. Confidence is a funny thing, being sent tot he D-league may have a different affect on him than it's intention. We were 3-7 at the start of the season anyway, it was the perfect time to give him some minutes.
