Worth a shot. Thornton plays great with Dwight as well. He's got some pretty court court vision when he cuts down the middle. He's one of our few guys who can think on the fly with the ball.
This this THIS How many times do we see Thornton have a good game then DNP next game? It's JB indecisive rotations. I like JB, but his rotations seem like random azz spur of the moment thoughts. He should've BEEN playing Thornton from the time he took over. He also needs to get Ty more minutes. Jason Terry should be a last resort or used for specific needs.
ok, so far this year - 2 separate insiders have given us these nuggets that I laughed off and have been subsequently disproved nugget 1 - James slept (or tried to) with Josh Smith's significant other which is why he wouldn't resign with us - hates james nugget 2 - Thornton hates playing with James because he won't pass him the ball and is jelly of him peep's/sheeps believe all the scoops/****s fed to them
I think Codman said Thornton and James really liked each other but Thornton was upset with his role and harden was afraid to pass Thornton the ball becaus he didn't trust him not to just crank a shot. I don't remember any insider saying they hated each other. It was stuff that was a simple fix
since we are running more small ball lineups, slide harden to sf for a few mins with thornton and bev/ty as guards
just have them clothesline their man when he blows past them. make sure to aim for the throat and not the chest
Thornton did get us a few wins at the beginning of the season when he was hot. Harden is more of a pg anyway, JB should try this more frequently
The point is that we already are a bad defensive team regardless of lineup .. What kills us is when we have our common 5 minute colds spells where our offense disappears. Thornton could help with that
Brewer maybe bad defensively but he has length, which adds to his defense naturally. Also, Brewer is better at cutting and running the fast break.
Jonathan Feigen@Jonathan_Feigen Rockets shooting guards Harden and Thornton a combined 3 of 18. Rest of Rockets have made 25 of 40 (62.5 %) of their shots.
