What his field goal percentage in the whole game? I know they said he was 2-9 on the clip but that was first half footage. Like I said we will see what he does the rest of this year and on. I personally like his game I'm just the type not get too hyped on guys anymore so yes... I'm finding weaknesses and things that may keep him benched in McHale's mind.

From the Kansas/Kentucky game, you can tell that having his back to the basket is not his game.

To me, he is a pure potential guy. He's got great speed, athleticism, and drive. Also not a bad ball handler for his size. He needs a jump shot to be effective on the offensive end, and to become a plus defender.

Just to put it into perspective, Anthony Davis went 1/10 and Jones was 4/7 in that game. Davis had 16 rebounds and Jones had 7 rebounds. Robinson didn't play that well but he did outplay Jones and Davis.

Good read I don't watch much kansas ball so don't really just know much about the guy except that he had a hard time in Sacramento and ended up getting limited minutes. It is Sacramento though. You don't see his mid range jumpshot a lot I just hope he gives us a little Otis Thrope if you know what I'm saying

Lol I guess that was overlooked because Kentucky won. Stats are important... I'm thinking one strong strength Robinson has is he's relentless with athleticism. They call it motor but when you have that kind if athleticism 37 inch vertical/quickness/speed with a motor... It makes you think this guy could be the answer to our power forward problem. Then again gotta wait and see.

Would like to seem them both contribute in the front court together. They both play above the rim.

I don't think it's crazy at all. Robinson will probably end up getting more minutes than Jones and D-Mo because McHale tends to play the more experienced players*, and Robinson has literally 5 times the NBA minutes as Jones and D-Mo combined. Hey, they're all rookies -- if Robinson picks up the Rockets system quickly enough in practice, he'll be the starter.

*Sure McHale gave Parsons minutes over more experienced guys, but that's because Parsons obviously grasped exactly what the coaching staff wanted and gave it to them. If Jones had done that, he'd have gotten more minutes already.

Don't get me wrong, he still needs to become respectable on offense, but he has A LOT of potential.

    Fluidity.

Robinson has fluidity. Guys like Morris and Jones didn't have enough of it. Pat had it, but not enough mobility. Robinson has good potential because he can move well with and without the ball. Guys like that are more likely to be 2 way players at an above average level.

not sure if you can describe someone raw and fluid in the same sentence... but we'll see how "fluid" this guy is when he step on the floor.

It seemed to me that he lacked the awareness that he was being doubled by anthonly davis every time he recieved the ball in the post. He will and probably already has gotton better in this area. But the reason he kept getting blocked was the fact that he was unaware of the double teams

You mean like the weaknesses that McHale saw in D-Mo that made McHale think that Morris was a better option at the power forward spot...??? Or like the weaknesses McHale saw in D-Mo that he decided to let Delfino get dunked on against Washington...???

McHale doesn't know what he has on this team...

McHale is just a military hard head type coach and truthfully I hate it. I want to see the best players play which are the best players that give us the best chance to win. Delfino on Okafar doesn't meet that all it did was tick us off. Now I'm learning Motiejunas will start while Robinson and Garcia will get minutes as well. Don't know if this is McHale or Morey but I'm anxious to see what results from this.

Jones is underrated and has as much talent as any of our young prospects. i, for one, have been disappointed he hasn't seen any real minutes on the court. But i also defer to the coaches because they see him in practice and i dont. Having watched him in college, i am a huge fan, and his upside is extremely high. It's why i don't think Morey should just ship him off for a mid-round pick. This kid has top 10 talent. Unfortunately, or fortunately for us, we've got a lot of young talent at his position.

It's just smokescreen. The minute I heard the rumor I know TJ is safe.

BTW, only players with playing time are valuable in the market. We aren't trading TJ and there's no market for him at this point(most likely).

McHale is old school but he better get on the same page as Morey...

Morey didn't trade Patterson and practically give Morris away so Delfino can eat up 35 minutes a night at the 4... I'm sure they had a talk after the Washington game...

In this draft coming up Morey could get a lottery pick for Jones EASY....
