    You both are right.

The refs didnt make a difference this game. We lose by 15 instead of 20+. It was better as the series wore on, because the flops and stuff werent called as much. You go back each game and after the first 2 the bad calls start to dwindle. The only bad call that sticks out about this game was Scola being dragged down by 2 Jazz players and Scola gets the foul. In game 5 there were 3 really bad ones, and even more towards the beginning of the series.

Thing is, if games 1-5 were called like game 6 there would not have been a game 6. The Jazz were being called for alot more (legit) hand check fouls than normal, and T-mac was usually the beneficiary. Trouble with those fouls were that if T-Mac actually got by his man unharmed, they were letting the fouls go at the rim. So they got some, but let others go. However, if these calls are made all series, Houston wins game 2 and 4 and there is no game 6.

It seems odd to say but game 6 was the best officiated game of the series. Before that it was game 5. Before that game 4. Before that game 3. Etc.....

The refs were getting better. Lets hope its a trend that continues into next season regarding officiating the Jazz.

Yes, they are hypocritical in their offensive and defensive styles.

Their offensive style shies away from the contact shooting a lot of jumpers and uncontested layups. The only real peremiter penetrator is D-Williams. Boozer is their post presence, but he is as likely to shoot a turn around J as try a move towards the bucket. Lets not talk about the flopping that goes on during loose ball and screening situations where they flail their arms about.

On Defense they want to hammer the crap out of you and keep fouling you till the ref gets tired. Also like to flail about as they are getting picked.

Offense = avoid contact(cept on the illegal screens)

Defense = create contact(and flail when getting screened)

The officiating may not have affected the game overall, but it has affected the momentum big. How many times did you see the Rockets get called for a foul after they score 2 consecutive buckets when the rockets were down by 20. The rockets came back from a 19 point deficit due to energy and momentum. During that period, hardly any foul calls were made. When we had our second 20 point deficit, instead of letting the game go on, the refs would call a foul on the rockets everytime the rockets hit a three or score 2 consecutive buckets.

I agree. As cheap as they be. At that moment in time, we didn't have the players to step up. T-Mac cannot play by himself. We needed the entire starting line-up healthy. (By that, I mean Yao.)

Half our team was crippled, and the other half were rookies. Everybody tipped that we would get clean swept. The reffing was really poor in the series, both sides. However, I cannot wait to see the Jazz getting no calls against Kobe and the Lakers.

Only reason why we lost this series is because of the injuries.

The Jazz were not that much better than us. I'm sorry, but if you're not blowing the Rockets minus Yao plus injured players out every night, then how much better than us are they really? They struggled against an unhealthy team the entire series. Last night's game was the only real blowout. The Jazz were able to get it done in the end, but I don't see them advancing past the Lakers.
