I didn't even read the tank for Ricky Rubio thing(still haven't just going by replies to this thread) But A)We don't have a draft pick next year right? B)Ricky Rubio said he is not going to enter the draft next year.
wtf? we played the JAZZ the first round. And thats what I said/meant, its stupid to win 22 games in a row and then lose in the first round.
The team is so goofy, no telling what they will do. They may win the rest of their games, but I would'nt be surprised if they lost them all. They are completely discombulated, dysfunctional, and utterly messed up. There are so many plots and subplots, dramas and soap operas going on, it is impossible to predict what will happen. I know this, they are only fun to watch if like disaster documentaries.
What truth did he bring? He was completely wrong. We made the playoffs. I never see the point in making any of these "bold" predictions unless the team is playing a certain way for most of the season. I mean, we see a different Rockets team every week.
Agreed entirely. It's hard to pinpoint and correct problems whenever you don't know what the hell is going on and half of the issues are mental. In terms of talent and personnel needed to win a playoff series and beyond, its there. Okay, now what?
Are the Rockets at a point where they get better instantly and can only improve if they cut the cancer but become less talented on paper as a result? http://blogs.chron.com/franblinebury/2009/01/breakdown_sixers_104_rockets_9.html
It's possible! The Jass are just 1/2 game behind us for the 8th spot. I just can't imagine what will happen if we won't make the playoffs.
You understand that we have a veteran squad who knows what it takes to get to the playoffs, right? And you also understand that we haven't even played HALF the season yet, right? And you also understand that we have one of the most winning coaches of all time as our head coach, right? And you also understand that we have yet to even PRACTICE with our entire lineup healthy, let alone play a game, right? What the hell is the coaching staff supposed to do when every single day, another main component to our team is spending time in the doctor's office instead of on the practice floor? I'm tired of all these knee-jerk reactions to one loss. Do you really think Boston fans are saying this garbage.
Emma, are you my long lost twin? I understand how frustration and disappointment can cause short-sightedness. It's a long season but things don't look good right now.
We will make the playoffs, we might be 8th seed but we will make the playoffs. A major move is about to happen and turn the tide of this up and down season. Mark my words. Long live the Houston Rockets and none of us should quit on this team like T-mac has. We are all better than that.
Brooks, this can not be an official thread unless you approve of the message. The team will continue to struggle until you throw the reverse jinx on them. Come on...man....for the good of the team and the Rockets nation. DO YOUR DUTY !!! DD
It has to come naturally. You can't force the gift of the reverse jinx. Emma may possess the gift this season. She spoke from the heart. By the way, when is the trade deadline?
Seriously? What's the point of being a fan then? If you're that pessimistic about this team's chances, why even bother watching the rest of the season? If you are indeed "speaking the truth" and we will not make the playoffs, stop watching the games. The whole point of being a fan is to keep the faith, and stick it out with your team. I just don't understand pessimists like you, who go through life thinking the worst about everything, and then get some kind of joy when things actually DON'T work out. Sure, it hurts when the team loses, and I understand being aware of the team's flaws, but to flat out say that not only is this team going fail, AND to say that the people who are supportive of the team's efforts are WRONG is mind-boggling to me.
On the other hand what annoys me are the responses where posters just blow off the legitimate problems the Rockets are having--by claiming that the regular season doesn't matter, etc. We're fans, not cheerleaders. That means we're allowed to criticize the team, and this Rockets team is richly deserving of criticism.
