Ironically, as the Broncos are sitting without a playoff game to look forward to, they probably would have been better if Brock had stayed there.

 

He was MUCH better under Kubiak, the Broncos probably make the playoffs if they had been able to keep him. Meh, doesn't matter. The Texans are in the playoffs and that's all that matters to me.

 

Trevor Siemian is better than Brock

 

that's nothing if he is the "guy" I'd give them this years first, the fourth they want and a third next year if I had a magic ball guaranteeing me he is all that and a bag of sun chips.

 

Brock last year was better than Siemian this year. Kubiak obviously was able to get more out of Brock than Obrien could.

 

Their stats look pretty comparable.

 

Only way I do that is if their are 2-3 O-Lineman in FA that we can throw money at.. Don't need another "the guy Brock" coming in here and realizing they cant handle pressure and our line cant give them time.

 

That said, I would rather have Jimmy than any of these QB's in the draft.

 

I know nothing of NFL cap system. If I am off base let me know. Would it be possible to trade brock to Denver after the season was over and get some value or from a cap perspective does that make no sense?

 

Brock's cap hit is $19 million next year.

I'm sure it's possible, but I don't see a team taking over that hit

Jimmy will be a RFA after next season......they will lose him for nothing because they will not match the offer sheet someone will give him.

Hmm not sure.

 

I don't know about the other stuff, but it doesn't make sense for the Broncos because they have a first round QB already warming their bench.
