This team will never win anything with Brock Osweiler at QB!

I mean, to be fair his performance has been awful. It'd be one thing if he showed occasional flashes, but he has consistently been a dud and has statistically and performance wise been one of the worst starting QB's in the NFL. Not all his fault, but he hasn't shown much to make me confident in.

 

Everyone called me crazy for defending Schaub when **** started to go downhill, but I honestly still stick to that sentiment. Productive NFL QB's are hard as **** to come by, and that's why you never get rid of one without a better alternative. Ride it out and pray you can salvage something from him, because it can be a dark and long road trying to find some semblance of a quality NFL starting QB.

 

Brock would definitely be better in a better run offense where receivers actually get open, but I feel like this offense is tailor made for him to be terrible in. Brock can throw a bullet, but has almost zero touch on any of his passes. Deandre has proven he doesn't need to be open to make catches, you just have to lob it places where he can go and get it. Brock's constant lasers are the opposite of this, hence why Hop and Osweiler have never appeared to be on the same page. At this point, I feel like Savage could do better just based on his ability to put touch on the ball. N Neither Hoyer, Fitz, nor Yates were good QB's, but they could put touch on the ball and let Hopkins go to work.

I don't know if I'd advocate starting Savage because we are pretty much stuck with Osweiler at least another year. I feel like it might be the better call for this year, but looking into the future could be costly.

 

If Savage played better, the only cost would be spending a lot of money on a QB to ride the bench. If Savage wasn't any better and you had to go back to Osweiler, then you have the added cost of having a disgruntled starting QB.

This is just a **** show. Either it was OB's choice to bring in Brock and he won't bench him because he can't admit to his boss that he just wasted $36 Million. Or it's a McNair/Smith pick and OB isn't being allowed to bench him because McNair doesn't want to pay somebody that much money to not play. I tend to think it's the latter. Either way, OB benched Hoyer week one last year. I'm sure he didn't want to have that quick of a trigger again, but I think last year shows that if it were a football decision, Os would've be benched long ago. Which means decisions are being made that are not in the best interest of the team winning, which is depressing.

Which will allow them to kick the can down the road again . . . thinking Brock was not too too bad . .. we still won the AFC South title

Eh they won an AFC south title with Brian hoyer too.

This year is a wash. They'll prolly win the title, get to the playoffs, and get easily handled by whoever they play.

After that happens, Brock will get 1 more year to show what he can do, if he continues to play like trash I think something will be done.

 

Cannot stand Brock's accuracy issues. Brock just isn't good at QB, too inconsistent in every aspect.

 

Dude is horrible. He sucks.

 

Savage will bring us back to win this game. This switch should have been made weeks ago.

 

I hope we never have to see another Osweiler pass unless it's preseason or a blowout
