This team will never win anything with Brock Osweiler at QB!

Every sports teams have both good fans and bad ones. A lot of us were hoping to see above average play from the quarterback position.

We need to stop responding to the idiots who talk about "bad fans"

These are the same people who cried when Mallet was benched and quit on the team

My problem with a lot of Texans fans boils down to a lack of football IQ. When it comes to Osweiler, he's absolutely made his mistakes and I've called him out for it, but he catches SOOO much extra hate and criticism that isn't warranted or fair. The number 1 flaw in the Texans is their O line.....of course it makes sense that would be the biggest problem given the injuries. Hell the starting center was on the IR before the season even began.

The fans that I can't stand are those who dump on Osweiler on plays where he's instantly pressured.....and those are always the same fans who hype up guys like Dak Prescott who camps out in the pocket taking naps behind the greatest O line this league has seen in years. Fans who can't see that Prescott would look like hot garbage if he had to deal with the Texans O line. Basically if you can't figure out causality when watching games, you're (not YOU personally) gonna get on my nerves. If a pass hits a player in the hands, then bounces off and into the hands of a DB, those kinds of fans blame it on the QB.

I think we'll just have to deal with whatever they can manage to pull off this season while keeping our minds open to next season when they'll finally be healthy again. Give this Texans team a healthy (and therefore competent) O line with all the receivers back healthy, with Watt, Johnson and the rest of the defense back healthy, and the Texans are one of the better teams in the NFL. Unfortunately we won't be able to see that this season, but as fans, we should appreciate what they manage to pull off anyway.

You're right, team record is EVERYTHING. Brock is better than Warren Moon.

The problem is Houston sports fans are overwhelmingly idiots. For a "football town," very few if any truly understand the game of football. If they did, there wouldn't be nearly 70 idiots on this board who voted to fire Bill O'Brien in that thread. Anyone who knows even the basics of football, knows that Bill O'Brien is a top coach in the league - and easily one of the most well respected. There is a reason we are one of the least penalized, and least turnover prone teams in the league.

There are at most 1-2 other coaches in the league that could have taken the roster BoB has had over the past two and a half seasons, and gone 24-17. Personally I think the only two coaches that could have, are Bill Belichick and Andy Reid.

This 1000%. 4/5 of the Texans starting offensive line shouldn't be in the league, much less on a starting roster. The fact that we are 6-3, in first place, and likely playoff contenders with all of the injuries we've had this season - are a damn miracle, and a testament to BoB and his staff.

Anyone who thinks otherwise, is a freaking moron... and I'll gladly say that to their face.

No, Super Bowl rings are. And Brock has one - and played an integral part in it, and I think the case could certainly be made that he would have been a better option at QB than Peyton Manning during Super Bowl XXL. The Broncos anemic offense during the game proves that much.

I love Warren Moon, but he'd trade in all of his yards and completions for a ring.

Bobby what do you expect when you know people are highly invested in what's being dished out financially. What do you expect when we all are tired of mediocrity from the QB position. Agreed we are not experts but come on we do know what a NFL QB should look like/perform like. And so far Brock is not living up to the bill. Yes he's seeing some pressure out there but when there's no pressure dude is still rattled. Prime example go back and look at that tweet Zee posted. There was no pressure on him. Several times yesterday he had great protection, he just refuses to go through any type of progression. He's so fixed on getting the ball to his first read. Now I understand sometimes you have to make that throw but when you do have the time , go through your progressions is all I ask.

Another thing he needs to learn to look his first read off sometimes. He stares down his target too much.

Now granted the play calling is Meh. Some creativity needs to land in whoever making the calls. Lol but the fundamentals of the QB position looks like it skipped Brock. Hopefully we will see some type of improvements next year. Right now I'm not very confident in Brock at all. At first I was very hopeful and positive. Telling everyone to give the man a chance. Bobby what did it for me was his play against the Lions.

Are you kidding? That was the 3rd game of the season and he threw for 4,000 yards and made the Pro Bowl after that.

IMO, it was two things. 1) the lisfranc injury and 2) him throwing 103 passes (840 yards) in the span of 4 days against the Jags and Lions. He had a dead arm after that, which considering the kind of arm he had to start off with really hurt him.

It's actually lower than Tim Tebow's career rating, not that I think he's actually that bad

I believe if The Texans make the playoffs and are one and done again, next year O'Brien will be on his last legs. When it's all said and done, he will get fired. He will be remembered for completely mishandling the QB situation in his tenure and botching the 2014 draft for skipping on Bortles, Bridgewater, and Carr. Hopefully when that happens Rick Smith will be gone with him this time.

Bortles is awful, bridgewater was nothing special before his devastating injury. Biggest misses were Jimmy G and Carr IMO and wasting picks(if he did indeed pick other positions as well) Louis Nix, Ervin, and X over more proven talent in that 2nd round

He has not been good. Winning in spite of him, not because of him is the only impressive thing this team has been doing. I at least thought he would be average but up to this point he's terrible. It would be nice to hold out hope that he can "turn it around" but the accuracy and touch are things that typically aren't improved upon. Swing and a miss. I hope management realizes this and makes getting his replacement #1 priority so they have someone to step in after next year.

Hmm. In the past it seems other QB's to do that were Drew Bledsoe, and.... wait for it... DEREK CARR?!?! I wonder what their records were during that, but I bet they were worse than 6-3...
