This team will never win anything with Brock Osweiler at QB!

I seriously doubt that will happen because it would mean that they are giving up on the season. They still have a legit shot at the (putrid) AFC South plus that would mean that they would be paying $18M for a backup QB. No, they are going to ride this pony all the way down to the end.

But, but...the offense is so complicated. 3-yard-outs and draw plays are VERY complicated!

it actually could be possible if the boo birds continue. These will only get louder and more prevalent if he continues to plays this bad. The organization will then be put in a tough situation to make that call imo.

Well, you have to ask yourself this: If Osweiler (Assweiler?) is this bad, then just how bad is Savage that he can't beat this guy out? We've seen two rookie QBs play better than this guy who has (allegedly) been in the league for 4 years. Remember, Savage had barely played college ball when the Texans drafted him so he was, and is, a long term project. Bill makes that call and when that blows up in his face, he'll be done in Houston.

I'm not sure what's weaker.....a team too scared to bench their prized off-season acquisition, or a team willing to bench him because the fans call for it.

But I will say this: IF they decide to make a move to Savage, then that kid better light it up, otherwise BOB is done here. As I see it, in terms of job security, BOB has a built-in excuse with Osweiler. That goes down the drain as soon as he benches him.

yeah but I mean it's one thing to get beat out in practices but when the bright lights are on you are just exposed. Who knows if savage could be better without given atleast a chance in a real game right? idk with that big contract Brock had to just be encumbered into the position regardless of how he did. So frustrating man

I hear ya man. But If we're losing with a guy who can only manage 60 yards in 3 quarters, the fans do have a voice though especially since they're the ones supporting your product. Personally I just keep expecting them to stick with Brock so long as they keep winning against the mediocre teams. But each time we play anyone that's a capble playoff team we'll likely be right back here talking about his horrible struggles :(

the play calling is horrible, at least they took some shots down the field but lets face it... the receivers weren't open and the throws were off target anyway.

I'm waiting for Brock to do something to impress when playing against an above average defense and so far.... nada.

PATDSTAT tweeted that they eliminated slants and crossing routes to help Brock (he sucks at those)

he's actually missed a ton of throws thus far. When you have playmakers on caliber with a hopkins you have to give him a chance to atleast make a play. Brock's deep balls are terrible and hes shown to be very inaccurate on a variety of throws. There's no chance for them to even make a play. That's the problem. He's stuck between worried about throwing more INT's and over throws.

The system tries to hide what he can and cannot do well. But hes been so bad that he's getting exposed anyway. All these underneath throws are just plain pathetic. Eventually it catches up to you and for him it clearly has

Brock has been terrible but he isn't this bad of a player. A little of the blame has to go to a coaching staff that more often than not seems overmatched. They don't know what to do on offense.

I agree. This looks like Chip Kelly in Philly. The defense seems to know exactly what's coming

Honestly, the Texans remind me of this picture from Blazing Saddles. With everyone in the NFL gunning for them, they point their guns at their own heads.

It's hard to believe Savage would be worse.

I mean even Ryan Mallet wouldn't be worse.

The fact that we are eliminating slants and crossing routes should be a huge sign that maybe we should play another qb until Brock can figure it out. This is ridiculous.

i see everyone slamming BOB for playcalling but at this point you almost have to give him a pass... i mean how can you sit here and watch the total ineptitude that is Brock and think it's somehow on BOB? Brock has trouble completing 5 yard outs to wide open tight ends and sure as hell can't hit anyone downfield with even an iota of accuracy. Save for running the ball every play or running a wild cat what plays can BOB call to compensate for Brock???

if your QB can't hit open receivers 10 yards away from him i don't care if you have joe walsh or belicheck on the sideline, you're gonna get your ass kicked.

I'd say we should eliminate all routes where the receiver isn't just standing in a spot waiting for the ball, but Brock missed a couple of those last night too.
