This. The team is a bunch of damaged goods at this point. Blow it up and start over. Capela is the only one I would hate to lose.
contending is over but doenst mena u give up improving. none of the top fa's wanna join this sorry ass team. change that by geting some good pieces by trade harden or dwight, and a few others. make this team competitive again. i'd rather do that. lets everyone know we're serious and the best fa's are looking for serious teams.
if you caught les' interview with clyde&bill tonite, he did not seem pleased with the coaching staff and cited them in particular as responsible for our poor defense. really hope he fires them in the morning.
Rockets don't have the balls to trade Harden, but I can see them dumping a lot of dead weight between the 15th and the trade deadline. Next year, though, with a new coach and a new roster, Harden will have run out of excuses. If they under perform next year, anythings possible. Les taking a higher profile is not a coincidence. He's losing patience and getting antsy. Good.
Exactly what system did Kerr implement in the first year of coaching the Warriors? I think Kerr is a good coach and makes smart coaching decisions to go along with a smart coaching staff, however, I think their "culture" is more important than their "system". JB isn't a bad coach based off a quarter of a season, but he probably won't get another chance with the Rockets unless they turn it around.
They are currently playing two scrubs, Jones and Brewer, specifically to keep their trade value up as high as it can be so they can flip them in just over 2 weeks. Once they do that and go with a more sane rotation, I think the team looks a lot better.
Rockets We have plenty of options moving forward to retool around Harden. Capela is certainly an interesting trade piece if we are all about making the most of Harden and Howard or putting a big emphasis on the next two years. We can certainly go the other way and put faith in Capela/DMo or solid big man and go for younger version of Trevor Ariza out there.
I am ready to see if Chicago will take Harden for Butler. So depressing we have a guy who won't play defence, making it harder on everyone else.
We aren't winning with Harden as our number 1 guy. No shame in that for Harden as Curry, Lebron and Durant are probably the only ones at that level right now. It is what it is.
Perimeter defense is so bad. You can not have 2 of the same players on the floor at the same time Lawson, Harden, Brewer, Thornton Motie isn't saving us or even performing up to Jones's level of play at this point, Ariza has been trash Howard has been solid but he's getting older and has a lot of miles. This team is a hot mess. I'm beyond tired at this point, we went all out and where not anywhere near good enough to win and ring. I feel like we currently have no future with this squad. I say blow it up, let Howard walk or trade him, and rebuild around Harden correctly with quality young players. High IQ players, high character players. No more of this head case, boneheaded BS. All players must be able to defend, Harden should the the only player on the Rockets that is not an above average defender. Get a legit coach that enforces defense, boxing out, and ball movement Also no one in our core should be over 28, we need to milk Harden's prime as long we can. Having core players that are 30+ years old is shooting us in the foot. We can't have players regressing and falling apart during Hardens prime. These players don't fit together, this system sucks and we won't win with it.
