That's how I see it too. He is touted to be a coach who demands accountability and setting the culture. It looked like that in his first year here. It was refreshing after the toxic Silas years. It turns out that his accountability consists of having short leashes on certain players and publicly throwing some players under the bus while never put himself and his coaching crew under any accountability.
But they have 33 losses and we have 29. And we have the tiebreaker. There's simply not enough time left for them to overtake us. The Rockets would have to lose almost every remaining game in order to fall to 7th.
Yeah just meant generally they’re 3.5 games behind us as a measure of where we stand. It’s a double annoying thing if they end up with roughly the same record as us after we acquired Durant from them.
You can’t be an extremely emotional person like Udoka and expect your team to be calm and collected in tough situations. Especially young guys will copy his demeanor and behaviors. A lot of times his decisions seem driven by anger, a desire to prove a point (almost always fails), or just vengeance. Going away from things that work is his MO ever since he’s been here. Does he not want someone in his coaching staff to be right? Only his favorite players to shine? Can he not handle it when a play he thought wouldn’t work actually does? There might be logical reasons too but you frequently don’t see logical outcomes so leads me to believe we are at the whim of whatever and however he’s feeling at any given moment.
they still have a monstrously difficult schedule and Dillon had reverted to old Dillon even before he got hurt. We are in all likelihood going to be the 6th seed, unless Minnesota falters or Doncic gets hurt.
We’ve actually done terrible against bad teams. We’ve been hearing since the ASB about the easy schedule we have and we’ve been playing close to .500 ball regardless. We’ve lost against so many bullshit teams. Limping into the playoffs right now. They can’t overtake us but it’s a massive disappointment that they even have a chance of finishing near our record.
